THEY DIDN'T MEET each other for the days that came before their wedding. 

While Lucian spent his time in a bar, drinking his anger and picking unnecessary fights with his beta, Esmeray finally got up from the bed and took care of her children. Her son refused to accept a new man in his mother's life. She didn't want him to pull away from her - he was one of the reasons she chose to live after losing her mate. 

"We will not live in the same house as him! I do not want him anywhere near us!" he complained. Rey was slowly adjusting to his new environment, having learned their language and how to walk faster than his mother anticipated him to.
