They were ready for the ritual. 

Everyone had gathered - the royals, the priests, the merfolk. As they stood behind the gates, Esmeray could not help but approach Triton. Vanora slightly wiggled in her arms. Rey couldn't stop grinning - he loved spending time with others. No wonder he would be a great King. 

"You are hiding something," she told him. 

He turned to her - his expression serious. 

"I deserve to know," she continued. He was silent for sometime.
