Chapter 2: Chapter 2
"Hey, hey wake up."<Sarah>
"Huh?"<Lucas>
'Did I fall asleep?'<Lucas>
"You fell asleep and slept through the whole night, it's now the next day."<Sarah>
"Oh."<Lucas>
Sarah then holds out a banana.
"It's for your breakfast."<Sarah>
I grab it and unpeel it and start to eat it.
'Why does my mouth feel different?'<Lucas>
Once I finish Sarah takes the peel and goes to throw it away and i feel the inside of my mouth and am surprised to find some sharp canines.
'What the, I have fangs? I must not have noticed them yesterday.'<Lucas>
Sarah then comes back and kneels in front of me. And I look around the lounge and notice the elf person is not here.
"Umm Sarah, where is the elf person?"<Lucas>
"Oh, we found them a place to stay a few hours ago, and we trying to find you a place to stay right now because it's not like you can live here."<Sarah>
The person I recognize as the police captain then comes by the lounge.
"Sarah, come here we need to talk."<Police captain>
Sarah then leaves me and goes to the captain and the captain then starts to talk to her but i manage to pick up some of the things in their conversations.
"So after you told me that she said her name is Lucas Barkman I started to do some research and found an Eric Barkman and a Sophia Barkman who live in the area."<Police Captian>
'Those are my parent's names.'<Lucas>
"But when I called them and asked if they knew a Lucas Barkman they said they never heard of them so I guess she is either lying or is really confused."<Police Captian>
I freeze after hearing what he just said and start to tear up.
'They don't remember me. my own family forgot me.'<Lucas>
I then go into full-blown crying and Sarah notices and rushes over.
"Hey, what's wrong?"<Sarah>
'did she end up hearing what the captain said?'<Sarah>
She then starts to rub my back while I cry.
'Why? Why? Why? What could have made them forget me? Is it because I turned into whatever I am now?'<Lucas>
I end up sitting there crying for probably around 40 minutes until the crying is reduced to sniffling.
'It looks like she is calming down.'<Sarah>
"Are you feeling better now?"<Sarah>
I nod.
"I have some news for you wanna hear it?"<Sarah>
I nod again and look at Sarah.
"Well, we found a place for you to stay. We will be sending you into foster care for now but we don't know how long you will be there. So you will be staying at a foster home and there will be some nice people to take care of you."<Sarah>
'I don't want to go to foster care I want to go home.'<Lucas>
I start to cry again.
'Oh, you got be kidding me back to the crying.'<Sarah>
Another 20 minutes later
"Can I continue with what I was saying?"<Sarah>
I nod.
"The foster care people will be picking you up in a few hours and I hope you won't cry when you hear this but your official name is now Lucy Barkman. We kept the last name but Lucas doesn't really fit you so it has been changed."<Sarah>
I don't cry because I don't have any more tears left from the other two crying fits.
'Now my name is gone? It was all I had left. My family, my home, and now my name. Why is this happening to me?'<Lucas>
I will now be calling the MC by lucy
We then sit there for a bit and Sarah gets called by someone and she has to leave.
'What will people think of me? I am now a weird freak I will probably be tested on by scientists and treated like a new type of creature.'<Lucy>
I then grab my tail and hug it as if it's my stuffed animal.
'At least my tail is nice, although it is what makes me a freak.'<Lucy>
A few hours pass and it is now 3 pm.
And I hear someone coming to the lounge getting led by Sarah.
"Is that the girl?"<Josh>
"Yes it is."<Sarah>
Sarah then walks up to me.
"They are here to get you, are you ready?"<Sarah>
I want to scream that I want to go home but instead I just nod.
I then get out of my seat.
"Goodbye Lucy, it was nice meeting you."<Sarah>
"Bye Sarah."<Lucy>
I then walk up to the man.
"Follow me."<Josh>
he then takes me outside the police station and leads me to a car and I hop into the back but my tail gets in the way.
'Dammit stupid tail. I guess it will have to be on my lap again.'<Lucy>
I then move my tail onto my lap and get in the car and the man starts to drive.
