His knees first touched the ground, and they all watched as his blood ceased to flow as he desiccated, his skin turning deathly white.

Jeremiah tried to run, but he didn't get far as one of Jacob's friends got to him. He plunged his fist into Jeremiah's chest just as Mark shouted :

"No! We still have to talk to him about George!"

"I don't care about George" came the reply, as he pulled Jeremiah's heart out of his chest and his lifeless body fell to the ground.
