Chapter 35: Happy Christmas

Ivy held her finger up to shush him as her new phone rang. It had to of been Noah, she only got this phone number. She decided to let Cole know she was with someone new.

"Hey hubby".

"Hmm, where are you?".

"At my dad's but I'm leaving now as he has an infestation problem".

"Really".

"Yep, you did. Wanna have some fun?".

"Mmm... You'll be sorry for saying that". Noah laughed at the other end of the phone. He knew she was being mischievous.

"Ok hubby see you soon". Ivy hung up and looked at her dad.

"Dad I'll see you next time, happy Christmas".

"Wait Ivy stay please for dinner".

"Your busy dad".

"Wait how was that on the phone".

Ivy walked out and Thomas followed behind. Cole ran after them.

"Ivy stays for me, stay for your dad". Cole reached out to grab Ivy's hand and Thomas stepped forward and grabbed his wrist stopping him from touching her.

"Aghh who are you".

Thomas smirked he could apply more pressure and snap his wrist if he wanted but he looked at Ivy, she kept walking for the car. It showed she didn't care for this scum so he wouldn't waste his time on him either. He let go and jumped in the driver's seat and drove off with Ivy. They headed for Noah's apartment.

"So do you wanna know".

"No your past is what it is, it stays there. I only need to know if he's preventing your future".

"Your kind Thomas I like you".

"Thanks miss, but please don't say things like that".

"Ahh, Noah's not here".

Ivy gave up and they continued there journey in silence. Arriving at the underground car park they headed for the lift together and Thomas dropped Ivy off at Noah's door.

When Ivy went in it was dark and quiet, Noah wasn't back yet. She took off her shoes and jacket and walked in. She lit some candles and lifted two glasses pouring wine for herself.

She then went to the bathroom and got cleaned up. She grabbed a pair of hot pants and a very large t-shirt that just covered her bottom and entered the living room. She lay on the sofa and drank her wine surfing through the many dark web jobs.

She got interested in a job that needed to be completed asap and would bring her in six figures. Opening it up she immersed herself in her job. Her fingers flew across the keyboard.

She never even noticed Noah coming in the door. Noah found his lover lounging on the sofa looking very provocative.

"Wife.

"Huh". Hearing the deep mellow voice she looked up and saw Noah as he took off his coat and shoes. She finished up quickly and saw the deposit enter into her phones bank app. Closing down her laptop she leaned forward and poured Noah a glass of wine.

Noah felt this was the warmest welcome home he had ever experienced, he hoped for more days like this in the future.

"So wife". He pulled Ivy on to his lap.

"Oh yea, that was just to send a pest far away from me". Ivy didn't run from his lap this time she had gotten used to this habit of his.

"Need an exterminator?".

"No that would be like hitting a bug with a sledgehammer, I can deal with him".

"Mmm". He was enjoying Ivy on his lap, he rubbed her thigh.

"Oh, you'll be away the next few days. Open your gift". Ivy leaned over and grabbed the bag from the floor, Noah kept her on his lap so it was a bit awkward.

"Happy Christmas". Ivy handed Noah the bag.

Noah wouldn't mind if she just tied herself in a bow, but he was happy to get a gift from Ivy. Whatever it is he would like it. He opened it and smiled at her pulling out the tie first.

"Do you know the meaning of buying a tie for your lover?....Mmm It means you want to long loving future with them and want to tie yourself to them".

"Yeah it,',s just a nice tie."

"How about you tie yourself to me by being Mrs Adler?."

"Never." Ivy laughed at his joke. She did not want to be a wife.

Noah then opened the tie pin and smiled he put them down and kissed Ivy softer than he had before, leaving butterfly kisses all over her neck and chest.

"How about I let you go on top?".

Ivy's head snapped up at him. He always dominated and now he was letting her take the lead. She smiled as a response and Noah carried her up heading for the bedroom.
