Kai woke up in a strange place.
The whole place was pitch black but he somehow could see the environment. Perhaps he had been lying there far too long and his eyes got used to it? He didn’t know.
It was like a swamp. Several platforms hovered over whatever liquid filled the role of water down below, and Kai was above one of them. The platforms were large and thin but severely spaced from each other. It was hard to jump from one to another.
The whole ground of the platforms had a hexagonal design resembling a beehive, however, the feeling on Kai’s feet was solid, like a metal footbridge.
Kai turned his head to one side and the other to observe the environment better.
Scattered around the place, in the water near the platforms, he could also see little geyser mounts of about two to three meters each. The geysers were unfunctional. Nothing was being spilled from them.
Kai realized he was standing. That’s why his feet could feel the hexagonal plateau but not his body.
