Chapter 35: Chapter 35: Conclusion

Kai never understood why, but the punk seemed to have taken him as his rival ever since the first day. Was it because of his age? Perhaps Victor himself also was his age even though he looked older, and therefore saw the need to compare? Win to feel better about himself? Kai didn’t know. But the fat is that seeing Victor’s stare from that angle when he held that provoking pose made clear that he was determined.

Defeating Kai would mean more to Victor than simply passing the test.

Victor was clearly worn out because of Birch. Even though Birch was fallen to the ground being kicked and mocked around, nothing in their fight was easy. Victor was only standing because he wasn’t the first to fall. And Kai knew that.
