Chapter 70: Hysterical father

Rune immediately held her as Vladis checked her vitals.

"Don't worry. She just fainted."

"I knew it" Rune seethed with anger.

Vladis was perplexed. What did Rune mean by that?

Rune let out a sigh. "She had been pierced by a poisonous arrow earlier in the forest. Fortunately, we arrived in time, allowing the poison to be handled before it spread further into her body. She avoided a fatal blow by a hair's breadth. Her body lost a lot of blood despite the treatment. Lyn had told her to take it easy for a few days, however, she refused...."

Rune shook his head.

Vladis understood what Rune was going to say. A lot happened, Camy went into a coma, as well as this vampire stuff. On top of it, Arthur had ordered them to conduct a thorough search. Resel did not have any choice except to go with Lord's order.

Vladis knew, even if she was given a chance, she would still have decided to follow them to this search operation.

Just because she was blaming herself....
