It went better than I thought, I was sure there would be more men but luck was on my side, the entire meeting was a ruse to get Renly, why would I even meet them, it would suggest that they had a chance to win against my armies, fleet and dragons and a peaceful proposal was necessary to win
I know it was cheap or not honourable to just take him but I went alone in enemy camp and he had seven gaurds, I didn't even use my dragons on them, that should count for something
I just couldn't take the chance of Renly being a fool and marching against my armies, then I would have been forced to burn thousands just to prevent a long war, it's better to kidnap him then to release my dragons on men who are just following orders, that's the reason why I didn't burn the lannisters forces with harrenhal
I started this war not just to become king but to make sure the seven kingdoms is ready to face the long night, yes I can unleash my dragons on the entire camp and burn thousands and scatter the rest, that would indeed send a message to anyone who think they can go against me but I won't burn thousands just to make a point, that is something that Tywin or Maegor the first would have done ,it would be incredibly effective but that is just not me
Tywin was great lord and a warden, his enemies feared to go against him, his Bannermen were too scared to disobey and he raised his house to great heights but end of the day he was horrible man who only cared about the results no matter how many innocents died
With Renly taken the Tyrell Baratheon alliance is dead, and the Stromlands which were divided between the two brothers would be forced to side with Stannis,with Stannis bending the knee to me now only me and Joffrey are the one's that have claim to the throne, at least mine is legitimate
This is why the king is the most important piece on the board even though it is the weakest,when the king is gone the people following him split into pieces
Now I just have to take care of the lannisters in the capital

His days in the red keep have been hell for the last few days, with the armies getting closer and closer to the capital and the ships with black sails and Targaryen sigil have blocked out the sea
He is putting out one fire after another in kingslanding, tensions are getting higher and higher as the armies are getting close, he is the only one who is actually trying to stop riots and chaos from descending on the city
His sister is getting more and more erratic and drunk by the day, our father's death hit her really hard,he is not fine either every day he wakes with fear that a box with jaime's head would come
Joffrey is even worse, the boy is delusional, he thinks the armies would just come and bow down to him just because he has crown on his head, that the men would just throw Jon Snow on his feet just because he says so
Varys and Bronn are only one helping him to keep order and stability in the city, with Varys's little birds he had been able to stop riots before they can even start and Bronn is helping him prepare the defence against the armies
He was studying the city map when Bronn comes in and sits across him
"We are fooked, most of the Crownland lords have pledged for the Targaryen boy, we will soon have ninety thousands men outside these walls ready to take this city, that's not mentioning the ships that are blocking us, and dragons, what are we going to do about motherfooking dragons"
"I know but we can't just do nothing, thousands would die if we don't do something"
"Not if we surrender, no one dies but that mad boy you all call king,I know you are smart man it's is the only choice and you know that in that big head of yours"
"We can't surrender, the queen was clear on that"
"The same queen that is barely conscious these days,you told me that you would pay double but the boy outside is can pay more than double and I would keep my head so I can actually use that gold,I am telling you this because I like you, don't lose your head for the bitch you call a sister and the mad boy,even as we speak your father's lords are marching with the Targaryen outside "
"The Starks and the Targaryen boy is here for lannisters, if you capture the mad boy and your sister and surrender the city you might keep your head,you can't win this I am not telling you this for the gold I just don't want to see your little head on the spikes lining the wall, I am also official resigning as the lord Commander of the city watch"
Bronn gave me one final look and walked away
As much as I want him to be wrong, he is right there is no way we can make it out alive if it comes to battle, but he can't just give up on his family no matter how bad they get
Only good thing in this mess is that he had at least sent Myrcella away before all of this happened, maybe it is better for him to just take tommen and run away, the sweet little boy didn't deserve to die because of his mother and brother's actions
He could just send the boy alone but right now he can't trust anyone, Bronn could have just betrayed him but he came and told him the truth to his face, not many would do that, others are just waiting for any opportunities to turn on them, someone might take tommen and instead of running away just give him to Aegon Targaryen just to curry favour with the new king
