Chapter 143: Chapter 144 - A Little Trapped

She felt his hand snake around hers that were on her laps.

She felt the disgust clung to her throat as usual but she composed herself.

"Despite everything, I still have you and you will always stay by my side. Despite how broken I am, despite how insane I have turned, you choose me. You choose me in the past, choose me now and I know no matter what happens in future, you will always choose me."

Something cold settled in her heart at his words.

Guilt?

Whatever it was, it seeped through her body and she fought hard to shake it off.

His head fell to her laps and he sighed loudly in frustration. She could feel his tears wetting her robe.

This time around, she didn't feel.the disgust. It was still there, just not to the point that it was choking anymore.

"All I ever wanted was to be happy."

Diamant's fists tightened around the sheets, she could feel that cold feeling spread through her even more.
