"Those are questions for the ministry. Ask them." She managed to say without giving her uneasiness away.

"Fine." The woman snapped through tight lips. "Identification?"

Diamant handed her a piece of paper that she had used her stamp on that morning. The woman scoffed when she saw it.

"A pass from the Mother." She folded her arms beneath her bossom. "How is the Mother concerned with the activities of the Ministry. If you can't show--"

"You are giving me too much trouble. Hand over my pass, I'll go back to the Ministry and report you for non-compliance."

The woman blinked, stunned. She quickly handed back the pass with anger. "Fine! Conduct your search. Go through every Criminal's record from head to toe, you won't find any mistake! I've been doing this for years and I do a great job."

"Good for you." Diamant said turning away.

"And I don't like you!"
