"I told you, I would never forgive you, Edison," Alanor said to Edison who was staring at him in shock.
The king could have sworn he had seen Alanor portaling out of the dungeons. But then, he should have known that he had taken a title too much from the kid for him to even consider asking for forgiveness.
Alanor was never going to forgive him and right here, as they looked at each other Edison knew he was doomed and there was just no way out of this.
"What are you doing here?" Edison asked as if he didn't already know what Alanor wanted from him. It was almost like he wanted to bargain with his executioner, but wasn't that a little too late for him given Alanor had even lost him a hand?
What if they had cameras in the midlands, it would be awesome. It's a pity they had none though.
