"Do you think he's okay?" Aida softly asked Zelina, who was preparing dinner with her. 

Everything had been silent since Criselda had lashed out at her sister and son and they were worried that all of this had an adverse effect on Alanor, especially since the very happy kid hadn't said a word, even when Criselda came back. 

Normally, Alanor would try and lighten the mood and try to get close to Criselda who would then give him a light scolding. Or even Ulrike would do that and the two of them would get in trouble with Criselda, but today, there was nothing. 

Just absolute silence and no mention of whether Edison was dead or alive whatsoever. It was almost like they were living in a whole new world. A world in which they were riddled with so many uncertainties.
