Watching his mate slam the door on him, made Alanor furious to some extent, and it also made him feel like he was truly meant to be alone.

He had been working so hard to come to Udrad, and while so many years had passed already, but even then everyone he cared about would always find a way of leaving him.

He had told himself he wouldn't care about Unar, but why did the fucking slammed door make Alanor feel like he was going to lose this battle in the endless war against Edison?

"He's gone home," Ileus said a few minutes later when he couldn't see Fahima and Unar anymore. He looked worried for Alanor and wanted to know what the kid wanted.

At least if he knew then they would be able to help him and make sure he went home, but if they didn't know, they wouldn't be able to protect him, though it did seem like they would be protecting him from himself more than anything else.
