This is just showing who the characters are supposedly based on the Ao Oni animation, they won't act exactly like the characters in the Ao Oni animation and different events may take place as a result of that
The first part is just there for you to understand the second part of the story, read it if you want horror and gore but if you don't want to, it isn't required.
The majority of the story is the second part, so you can just look over the first part to get an understanding of it.
