Chapter 126: So Far Away

While Zirui had followed Alice, Ximin had paced even more around the office with worry for her two chicks like a mother hen. And when Zirui came into the office, limping, followed by Kieran whose cheek was swollen red like an apple, Ximin had no idea what to think. It was only later that she was told that Zirui's being hurt and Kieran were all an accident while Alice had already left in advance.

So, concluding that she was safe, Ximin finally breathed a sigh of relief and continued to diligently do her work until Alice finally came back, an hour later. But instead of closing herself off in her office when she was thinking something, Alice kept the door open as she continued to be lost in thought.
