Chapter 141: Trinity: I

Awkward silence spilled through the carriage that sat Zariel, Aurelia, Theia, and Vesryn. Seemingly unaware of the odd silence, Theia's scarlet eyes traced over Aurelia's cherry lips and neck, unable to hide the anticipation that lingered between her brow.

"Oh my, how you have grown lovely these past few months. Are you looking forward to school life?" She asked.

"A little," Aurelia answered awkwardly, feeling Vesryns eyes staring a hole into her. "Can you stop staring? It's unsettling."

"If I had just crippled him and forced him to walk the rest of the way, you wouldn't have been uncomfortable." Zariel chimed in, arching his lips. "I mean, he might still live if we toss him out now," he added, peering out of the carriage towards the Griffin, whipping through the skies as it pulled the carriage through the clouds.

Theia smiled, turning to Vesryn, whose expression slowly began to darken. She nudged his shoulder, "Stop staring. Don't you know that's rude?" She said in a teasing tone," Aurelia is just a child, years younger than you. Why not be her elder brother, and show her around Trinity?"

The young knight's expression soured as he straightened himself out. He saw nothing of interest within this little girl, aside from her extravagant looks that had stung his heart; he saw nothing that caught his eye. Vesryn leaned against his side of the carriage, near the window, and pursed his lips.

"I—"

"Pass, I'll rather go with dumb-dumb here. It seems like someone has a spear up their ass." Aurelia noted, to Theia's amazement." It can't be that confusing, can it?"

"YOU!"

The Vampire Lord nodded, " It is. Styx of Trinity was designed with the fundamental purpose in mind. The dean wished to fuel the student's need to compete with one another, so she divided the academy into three lesser collegers."

Zariel picked his head up, turning to face Theia, "Wouldnt that just mean that if two groups fight, one will have an opportunity to strike when the other is weak?"

"Quite right." Theia nodded, "She also wanted to reveal the problems many higher powers or kingdoms face throughout Alos. This keeps the three colleges in constant check and pushes them to keep trying to grow stronger and not fall behind. Less they give another college the chance to beat them without losing many students."

"I see,' Aurelia muttered, her heart hammering against her chest. "What are the three colleges called?"

"The College of Faxia, College of Aslesarth, and Lastly Twilight."

"Huh? Why do the others sound like they were named after someone? But the last collage is just called Twilight." Aurelia questioned, tilting her head.

"That's because of the nature of Twilight," Theia said, shaking her head. "The College of Twilight is known for trying to find a balance between the contrasting elements. So order and chaos, light and darkness, fire and water. Within the college of twilight, you will understand the fundamentals of balance and harmony."

"Guess it's settled," Zariel said, and aurelia nodded.

"Yup. We are joining the college of twilight." Aurelia said but frowned, "But you never answered the question: Why doesn't it have a name like the others?"

"That's because the College of Twilight never had a worthy successor," Vesryn said, smacking his lips. "When the dean created it, she held strict requirements no one ever managed to meet. The two colleges, Faxia and Aslesarth, both hold Headmasters. meanwhile, the collage of—

"Blackwater. Hmmm, I like the sound of that." Zariel connected. "It just falls off the tongue, doesn't it? The Collage of Blackwater."

Aurelia rolled her eyes, "What's up with you lately? You seem…Livelier."

"Firstly, this was how I always used to act," Zariel uttered, rolling his eyes. He smiled, narrowing his silver eyes that shone with a deadly light.

Humming in response, Aurelia smirked and attempted to poke the young master's cheek. Only to have her hands swatted away.

"No touching."

"See, you haven't changed!"

"Is your hands clean?"

"No idea?!" She cheerfully said.

"By the Nines!" Zariel remarked, glaring at the mischievous glimmer on the Fallen.

Theia's eyes sparkled, "Oh my. Now, this is interesting."

"Give Aurelia hugs!" The fallen said, leaping into his embrace, smiling evilly.

Zariel snapped into action, whipping the window open with his mind; he lept out the window and soared towards the top of the carriage.

"I'm not going to catch you if you—"

"Gimme hugs!" The fallen cried, climbing out of the carriage with a cheeky smile. Winds whipped against her silver hair, and her golden eyes shimmered with mischievous wonder.

"My god!" Theia said, snatching Aurelia's lower half, pulling her back in. "can you even fly?" she shouted, with sweat dotting her brow.

Aurelia shrugged. "Dumb-dumb would have caught me."

"No, I won't. Your bitch ass was dead." A voice from the outside carelessly said.

"My gods, they are kids!' Vesryn shouted.

"A kid that could kick your ass," Aurelia mumbled, crossing her arms, and returned to her seat. She frowned, snorting away.

"What was that?" Vesyrn challenged.

"Come at me, bro!" Aurelia snapped, placing her hand upon Morningstar.

"Ok, Ok, Ok," Theia cried, joining in. " My God. No need for violence. She said, but the smile on her face told a different story. Theia had always enjoyed creating chaos. Even at a young age, she would always find joy in toying with her servants. Clearing her throat, she spoke. " Now, Aurelia, are there any questions you might have before we arrive? We are a few hours away."

The young Fallen thought for a moment and nodded, "Will there be lessons about necromancy? About Life and Death?"

The expression of Theia and Vesyrn fell as they stared at the young girl. It had to be known that necromancy was one of the darker arts. Very rarely had anyone tried learning it from another.

"There are, but—

"Professor," Vesyrn murmured.

"It's fine. We invited them." Theia hesitantly said, " If you want to learn about life and death, then The College of twilight is a good fit. But Necromancy can only be learned by one professor. And you must be vetted by both the dean and the two headmasters."
