Chapter 79: Hellish Ascension

Wishing to scream but never being able to utter a word, tears pouring from Aurelia's eyes burned like molten tar against her eyes. She could feel the Arcana within her tearing her very life force apart by the second, but nothing she did could stop it.

Zariel was in complete control over her everything. Like a mindless puppet, she was cast from Heaven into Hell.

'Stop,' she often beg, if not scream. Yet nothing would sound. Only the sounds of her bone-shattering and her organs twisting and churning would respond.

'It's quite an ordeal you are in, my dear. Zariel is such a monster. Such a bastard!" A dark, smoldering voice uttered. It was dark, almost sinful, with a hint of playfulness.

'who?' Aurelia wished to ask.

"It's all in your head, my dear, all in that noggin of yours. I am your uncle, and you may call me Uncle Mephesto." The Devilish trickster crackled with laughter, "Just think it, and I will hear it. It's called telepathy."

'Are you here to help me?' The young Fallen, broken and weak, cried, having never thought such a thing would happen.

"Maybe, Hellish Ascension is a combination of Zariel's comprehension of the Hells. using all the elements of Heaven, Hell, Earth, Soul, and Body, he intends to grant you your original body."

'Help,' Aurelia uttered, unable to understand what was happening. All she could comprehend was her torment.

"You need not listen to him, Aurelia," Comorted Zariel, as his voice echoed through Aurelia's mind. "You are almost done. Just bear with it. Everything comes with a price, and this is the price."

"no more," She pleaded in despair, letting the whimpers of her heart begin to echo into the hollow soul of Zariel.

"I could help you, my sweet, Nephew. You see—"

"Don't make me use the Weave, Mephisto. I do not care if you are a higher being. You, like all still liver under the thumb of The Weave. You will not interfere with my ritual." Zariel warned, coldly narrowing his sinister gaze that smoldered with killing intent.

"You already used it once to connect Aurelia to Heaven and Hell. Using the Weave once more will kill you. I am willing to bet you are not ready to risk it."

"STOP!!!" Aurelia screamed, "just stop. Please make it stop!"

Kneeling before the deformity convulsing, Zariel kept his gaze calm and indifferent, "Stop begging its unbecoming. You are now my chosen and partner. You now carry my sigil, my crest within your soul! Do not taint it with your weak will."

"I-I-I don't understand." Aurelia meekly moaned mentally.

"You do not need to understand. You only need to accept this hellish torment and Ascend. Pull the Arcana from the air, ascend, and do not stop for anything." He warmed, taking a step back peering towards the skies, thundering.

Bellowing with a deluge of rain, hail, and thunder, the ground trembled, the air began to thin, and the realm began to mourn.

Unable to stop herself from crying, the young fallen followed Zariel's words that resonated in her mind.

Devouring the Arcana from the Heavens, and Hells, a swirling vortex coiled out from Aurelia's small, deformed body. Drawing in as much Arcana as she could, the powers of hell and Heaven began to rage, as something unheard of in the current era began to occur.

The Power of the Nine Hells and the Seven Heavens, two of the strongest Planes, began to quiver as a long-lost will began to call upon them.

"As my chosen, this will be my gift to you. The Arcana of Heaven and Hell are yours to control. Use it as you see fit, and rise. Not as a God, nor devil, but something more. As my Chosen, you hold power to see the Weave as I do. See your path, and change it." Zariel silently whispered, casting the young girl a profound stare.

"You will not be able to manipulate it like I, but seeing the Weave is like seeing through all secrets. Not many can see it, but those that do, are at the peak of creation. Use my gift well, Aurelia Morningstar."

Absorbing a power not meant to be absorbed by those in the Realm of Blood, a depraved howl rang from Aurelia's lips as a golden black Arcana began to race through her body. Death loomed over Aurelia like the blade of Damocles! Tearing down her insides, leaving nothing but chaos.

Nevertheless, all that the little Fallen could remember was the words of Zariel within her mind, "Do not stop for anything." Pushing her will, heart, and soul to the max, Aurelia continued pulling Acana from Heaven and Hell. Then all of a sudden, a golden pillar shot through the blacken skies piercing the turbulent winds and thunder like a knife.

Putting his arms high, a silver Arcana defended against the towering pillar of gold shimmering with a devilish nature that seemed to hide its angelic aura. The Silver Devil stared with a smile as a jittery feeling pressed against his stomach.

Hovering through the pillar, Aurelia's body began to crackle. Her bones began to mend, and her organs reformed at an impeccable rate, far stronger than before. As if she had been baptized in the light of Heaven and Hell, the young fallen opened her gaze to the sea of Darkness.

However, instead of seeing night, all that was within her sight was the all-encompassing Weave that stretched endlessly. Bleeding from the nose, Aurelia continued to stare, unaware of her very soul withering away the longer she looked.

Materializing within the golden pillar, in a cloak of silver, Zariel smiled, "THis is the Weave." He said, covering her eyes, "Remember it well, for it will be our lifeline."

Falling unconscious the moment Zariel placed his hands over her eyes. Duke Blackwater chuckled, holding her limp body in his arms. Sensing an unholy power running silently through her body, and approving glint flashed through his eyes.

"Your body is now as strong as your Arcana. Shit, it's stronger than my physique. That's good, but if you don't keep working at it, my body will surpass yours." He said as the golden pillar of radiants shattered into a fragmented sea of golden mist, bathing the City of Yrinas with a morning glow.

Studying the light painting the skies a celestial hue, Zariel gazed out with smoldering Darkness. He chuckled, revealing nothing to the Heavens or the Devil, Mephisto watching.
