~Alex POV~

A loud enough impact could be heard throughout this island as I made one hit to Rayleigh as he stands there unhurt and amused.
Damn…
I guess using my full-powered strength isn't enough to harm the old guy…
One Piece is truly filled with powerful monsters that I couldn't even dream of catching up to.
With that, the next step was unleashing a furry of my fist going all out at a fast pace leaving dust behind me but I see that Rayleigh is dodging all of them with no problem.
Rayleigh has been dodging them all with no problem hell his even taking a quick swig of booze during this fight?!

Seeing that this isn't taking me anywhere it was time for a different tactic.
Getting some distance away from Rayleigh I was now above the air as orbs of lighting were surrounding me as I release a burst of electricity on all of the island animals revealing a natural bioelectric aura surrounding them even Rayleigh.
His aura was the color of silver how fitting.
But Rayleigh noticed the flash of light as he was glowing then questions me what I did, "Interesting ability their kid, so what exactly does this do?"
Smirking at him I generated about my technique showing him balls of lighting as I told him, "Easy those bioelectric auras makes it easier for me to track you down using my [Rumble Balls] with a voltage of 200 Million."
Now that got only Rayleigh to draw out his blade at me as I launched out [Rumble Balls] going towards him hoping that he takes a hit but to my horror…
"Slice!"
"Cut!"
He only cut them apart at fast speeds using his sword to coat with his [Armament Haki] talk about unreal…
But.
Smiling at this I launched multiple barrages of my [Rumble Balls] all going towards him as I began to use a [El Thor] on him as I launched multiple barrages of them towards the all.
[El Thor] can use it to launch a massive lightning stream from my hand as Rayleigh a bit surprised but that was when he got serious.
I couldn't find his movements as he moved at speeds I couldn't find!
Looking around I couldn't locate him as –
"Bam!"
Shit!
I was quickly sent down to the ground forming a crater as I felt pain in my head that it was about to split apart.
Glancing myself up in the sky I see that Rayleigh uses his [Armament Haki] on his fist as he falls speaking to me, "Good work young man but it looks like you have a long way to good if you want to master Haki or to even use it."
Damn it!
Even training the use of my Devil Fruit I was only worth this much power against him or even powerful monsters like him into the future.
Sigh…
Getting myself back up again I began to walk towards Rayleigh as he says to me, "Now then Alex it's time for you to begin training with your [Observation Haki] first now make yourself blind to begin your work."
Right!
Tearing off a piece of my clothing I blindfolded myself to trust my senses but heavily relying on my Devil Fruit for sounds in the air I acted as I dodge but Rayleigh already guessed that it was my fruit again.
Rayleigh then begins to beat my head as he says to me in a blank voice, "Hey young man you need to stop relying on that fruit of yours till you have [Observation Haki] down you got it?!"
Nodding my head to him I tried my best to dodge most attacks of Rayleigh to the best of my ability since I'm still inexperienced in combat but with him training me I could get a better idea of how to fight!
"Bam!"
Damn it old man why does he go for the head each time?!!

After what I assume to be hours, I was dead tired with covering me all over my body and bruises from the 'training' I put myself in learning [Observation Haki] to which I haven't unlocked yet.
However, the Dark King was having a good time cooking a meal from an animal he got from the forest of this island as he says to me, "Well done surviving the first-day young man now we go onto the next step of Haki training for the next step, [Armament Haki]."
Smiling at this I ask Rayleigh how does he unlock [Armament Haki] as I was curious, "Ok then Rayleigh-sensei but how does one train in the arts of [Armament Haki] any way?"
Rayleigh busy cooking the food replies to me in a happy voice as he says to me, "[Armament Haki] is a form of Haki that allows the user to use their own spiritual energy to create, in essence, an invisible armor around themself, providing incredible offensive and defensive capabilities. To awaken this type of Haki you need to acquire it unconsciously during tense situations."
Hearing him makes sense but there was another method in the show.
Training to learn [Armament Haki] involves repeatedly striking a thick steel block with Haki enhanced punches.
The Haki user must learn to transfer all of their Haki from across their body to their hands, channeling excess Haki from around one's body through one's fists.
I guess I can use the animals in the area as target practice or find a very durable wall and keep on punching it for a long period of time.
Rayleigh then comes over to my side as Rayleigh hands me a piece of meat on a stick as I munch down on it.
Hmm… not bad.
Next, I hear Rayleigh tells me what my training schedule will be, "Alright young man for the next following days you will be training here against the animals and these beasts know how to use Haki it will train you hard to get your strength in order."
Replying to the Dark King I didn't want to wuss out of this since it's needed, "Alright then Rayleigh-sensei! I will do my best to survive on this island for the next year to unlock my Haki."
Rayleigh chuckles at me as he says to me in a serious voice but in a playful manner, "Ha ha ha!! Young man, you better be ready, but I will bring in some guest over to help you out as a sparring partner to help your Haki got it? You may even love these guests after all they aren't your ordinary opponents."
Oh?
If I have to guess he's probably going to bring in some Amazons from Amazon Lily it could actually be helpful to me get stronger with them as sparring partners.
But I should consider creating a countermeasure against Hancock devil fruit, but she should be 21 years old right along with her sisters?
But she shouldn't be a ruler just, yet right?
Rayleigh looking at the confused expression he soon asks me in a knowing tone, "Don't be hasty young man I will bring the sparring partners to you specifically three of them are Devil Fruit users learning Haki as well."
Really I guess they are still learning like me now this would get me a good challenge.
~Third POV~
For the next following months, Alex has spent his time training around the Rusukaina island training with Rayleigh when he's around but he suffered some harsh trials for him to face.
During that time Alex was busy developing his [Observation Haki] when he unlocked it under a life or death battle with a large ape living in the area.
When Alex unlocked his [Observation Haki] he combined it with his Devil Fruit and his range of field increased drastically to be able to view the entire island and hear what each habitant is living here.
As well as unlocking [Observation Haki] Alex managed to have better control of predicting the thoughts of the animals aiming after him for a majority of times avoiding each hit by instinct, but he does get damaged from each beast's attacks.
Alex managed to awaken his [Armament Haki] when he was clashing his fist against the animals in the Rusukaina island with different seasons changing each time.
When he unlocked his [Armament Haki] Alex tried out by punching the walls of stone with his coated fist for as long as possible as he focuses the wall punching it over and over again making sure to enhance his [Armament Haki] as much as possible to the point where his fist bleed.
Rayleigh was also in the area at times sparring with Alex as he managed to get better used to the changes and more combat experience in the process with the Right Hand of the Roger Pirates Dark King.
More time has passed as Alex train his Haki but couldn't unlock his [Conqueror Haki] even when Rayleigh has pressured him with his own.
Currently Alex was practicing his [Armament Haki] as he punches a wall of stone with noticeable fist marks on the walls as he kept on enhancing his fist.
As Alex was training his Haki he noticed a group of people coming towards the island as he smiles as Rayleigh finally returns with some Amazons.
With that he quickly teleported away from his training grounds to near the shore of this island where he surprised the group except for Rayleigh since he expected Alex to appear very suddenly.
Alex smiles towards as he looks at the Boa sisters with a smirk on his face as he says to them with a proud tone, "Hello their Boa sisters it's an honor to meet you today I'm Alex Smith Rayleigh student."
