Everything hurts. My body refused to move, hell, my eyes were still shut and they didn't want to listen either. What in the actual hell happened? Am I dead? The pain I'm feeling currently would like to say otherwise.
A bright light smashed itself against my face, at that point I thought it was over, if there was any chance of me surviving, it was long gone now. I waited for the sweet embrace of death, yet, it never came. Whatever I was hit with made me feel more energized, like downing a whole pack of Redbull in a single sitting. My eyes slowly opened, without even trying to, and as sight finally found its way to me, I couldn't help but wonder what in god's name I was looking at.
YOU DIED! BUT DO NOT WORRY FOR YOU HAVE BEEN CHOSEN TO TEST OUT ONE OF OUR NEW PRODUCTS! CONGRATULATIONS!

I knew what was about to go down the second I finished reading those 5 words that doomed me for another lifetime, I was being reincarnated. I wasn't going to be born in some bumpkin town or city somewhere in America..the 7 continents..or even the universe in which I came from...no...no...no...no...no...I was going into a fictional world where people that can destroy towns in an instant and come out unscathed. I knew Fairy Tail was a light-hearted show. but the fact of the matter is that I'm royally screwed if I knew what was going to happen. I remember up to Tartaros arc, but that's as far as I could remember, still I knew shit was going to be crazy.
Why me though? It said I was going to test out one of their new products. The hell did that mean? Hopefully, I'm not screwed for the 2nd time.

Failure: You stare at this screen for eternity
I stared at the blue box that popped into existence somehow. Is this like an RPG or something? I don't have a choice, do I? Whoever designed this is clearly doesn't care about customer service, I sighed and readied myself for what for whatever was going to happen next.

I paused as the screen suddenly changed, it's like touching the start button on a controller...okay first and foremost I need to figure out what the hell is going on. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. "Let's see exactly what this so-called 'Gamer' ability is". I opened my eyes and with newfound conviction-

I continued to look at the numbers that would most likely dictate the rest of my life. I found it odd that my "MP" was locked, was that bad? I mean given the fact I didn't have a name was kinda scary.

Wait, I can literally make myself a name, just like that? No BS? I don't even remember what my name was before, but I have memories of a crapload of anime for some reason. Oh god was I a NEET? Too much on my mind right now. I think I'll wait about naming myself. I wonder what skills I have?

Grants a body that allows for the user to live the real world like a game, attacks still hurt though. Sleeping in a bed restores HP, MP, and all ailments.
Huh...that explains why I'm not going completely insane. I can still feel my emotions, but it feels like a perfectly neat office, and whatever I'm feeling is being taken out of an office cabinet in an orderly fashion. This also confirms that I essentially have the powers of an RPG character, and by doing whatever that quest thing I can gain more levels to get more points? I'm going to assume I can use them to get stronger.

Weird, so I can get more INT by thinking smart? I wonder if I can do other stuff like push-ups or running to get stronger if that's how this thing worked.
I quickly went over the equipment and saw that I only had basic clothes that didn't do anything for me. The inventory was also empty which made sense since I only had my clothes. The only quest I had right now was "A New Beginning". Reputation was my relationship with other people, which I had none so it was blank.

I immediately turned the background music off, I'm not trying to be distracted if I'm fighting crap. Controls told me how I could mentally open my status menu, equipment, and such. I said it before and I'll say it again, whoever designed this does not care about customer service. Subtitles might be useful on certain occasions, especially if I'm sneaking around and want to figure out what someone is saying from a set distance. Game settings messed with the graphics, so I cranked it up to high-definition. The blue boxes look much nicer than before so I guess that's something. I tried mentally tapping 'EXIT' but it was grayed out so I couldn't do anything. All in all, I might actually like whatever this 'Gamer' thing was so I guess I should thank whoever gave me this to me.

That's probably going to one of my most used abilities, being able to gain information just with a glance? That's way too overpowered. Whatever it doesn't matter to me, if I have to play by the rules of this game then I'll abuse the crap out of it. Suck-up or not I will die to some stupidly crazy black wizard or a genocidal dragon. I WILL LIVE. Mark my damn words.
As newfound confidence fueled me, the dark void I was in started to shift, and I immediately felt like I was falling. I felt my lungs being flooded by water as I tried to grasp where the hell I was. I'm drowning, I can't even comprehend what's going on, my consciousness slowly fading, as my body refused to move. Once again, everything hurt.
