Nash's POV

The scorching and boiling sun hovered over my head as I was walking towards the pedestrian crossing and it took me a while to notice that the weather is quite hot "Gosh, it's still 7:46 in the morning!" I cursed under my shaking breath for the reason that it's August and not December. A medium sized kid bumped me from behind and fell in front of my vulnerable state, I was about to lend him a hand but he got on his two feet and wiped his teary eyes, I turned my heel to see a police man on his late 20's; I think he was chasing after the poor child.

The boy was about to run any second but it betrayed him, he was caught by the police man that squeezed his wrist tightly that made him whimper in pain, how poor of that child.

"Yah! Treat the child well, mister" I uttered that words calmly he slightly gave me a chuckle "Did you even know what this child did?" he exclaimed "Obviously not?" I sarcastically replied "He stole some foods at that store and did not pay!" he shouted at my face and I didn't have a choice but to slap him hard that made me hide my palm from behind because of how it hurts, but good for him.

"You have no rights to hurt that child and to yell at me" I've taken him aback and made it apart from his to the child's skinny wrist, he smug at me and left the two of us "Why'd you steal at this kind of morning young man? You know that there are a lot of bastards here" I got on my other knee to level my gaze to his "M-my sister and Mother h-hadn't eaten since yesterday morning, I'm just going to b-borrow some medicines and food and w-water" he slightly stuttered on some of his words that pinned inside my heart already, it made my heart warm, he was just like me, studying abroad for the sake of her parents.

"What happened to your mother, kid?" I asked without even me realizing "My m-mother has Polio"

"S-she can't stand anymore and she can't work, our f-father left us with nothing to e-eat" he explained while his tears were non stop falling out from his puffed eyes, I felt pity for that kid too, "Tell you what? I'll buy you enough food and medicine for your sibling and your mother then, you'll not steal again, okay?" I smiled, it's better to give than to receive dear "R-really? I mean noona, thank you so much!" [Noona: Older sister] he started crying and I just pat his back lightly. We went to the drug store and bought enough medicine and food for his family, I needed to at least help him at his state.

"Is that all you need, kid?" I assured his reactions and he met my gaze "I don't know how to thank you noona" I felt a pang in my heart and made me tear up "I'm sorry noona" he apologized when he saw my tear rolling down my cheek and I wiped it immediately "No, it's okay. Now go, I bet your mother is looking for you now" I pushed him a little to make him go but instead my worries and problems flew away when he hugged me, and I hugged him back. I didn't care what others might see but we all have to help each other, to feed the hungry people.

"Go home now, be safe" I flashed a smile to him and he returned a smile also. After that incident, I came back to my thoughts and realized it's already quarter to 8 o'clock "My God! My history class!"

I hurriedly waving my hand to find a cab and I was lucky that I found one, I told the driver my school's location and it will take me quite long to get me there.

'I need to check my phone'

I searched through my bag and found my phone, I opened it and received 6 messages. The 3 was from my mom, the other 2 was from my dad and the other 1 was from an unknown number, who could this be? All I know is that there are 4

contacts in my list, Mom, Dad, Azel, and my neighbor Gia.

'I'll just check it later'

*University*

I heard muffle voices from downstairs because of how quiet the hallways is, I tried to go up very quietly and head over to the classroom.

"Turkish people was not the ones who produced paper, it was?" our lecturer's voice was heard outside. I bravely stood up and opened the door

"The chinese people produced the paper Sir!" I answered his previous question that I heard before I entered the classroom, all of their eyes were on me

'I'm a celebrity? Wow!'

"Ms. Choi? I thought you didn't want to go to school anymore?" He sarcastically yelled and made my classmates to create a loud laughter "Enough!" he exclaimed with his voice raised and everyone went quiet "It was quite traffic and I got stuck, here I am" I faked a smile and earned a sigh from him.

The school bell suddenly rang that it's time for recess break and everyone slowly left until I was still standing in front of the door waiting for his answer.

"You said the same reason yesterday Ms. Choi! Aren't you in your mind right now?" Mr. Ford sighed

Everyone's head was on the both of us and this is what they call 'popular' hehe I'm always 'popular' you know because I'm always late but not always, get it?

"Sir, I-i can explain" I stuttered and I don't want to be stuttering in front of someone

"Of course Ms. Choi, there's no need to explain, I don't know what grade I'll give you, when even a school policy 'be punctual' you can't afford to give!" he exclaimed

"Be on my office this lunch, and bring 300,000 won" his words boomed inside my head

"What for sir?" I asked anxiously, probably wanting to hear it again if I had heard it clear.

"You'll take a special quiz and you'll have to pay for it on your own, I hope you studied well" then he left me mouth wide open and sighed, I turned my gaze to look around inside my classroom and saw my classmates and returned to my state.

I bowed to him as he passes by me walking out of our classroom and got to my seat. I sat for 5 minutes thinking of what just happened

'Do I still have money?'

I opened my purse and it only has 1,000 won for my dinner tonight.

I wasted all my money to that kid, but at least I helped him. I literally cried when I really realized that I only have 1,000 won left.

When I got on my seat and settled my self in, Azel hurriedly drew her chair beside me, with ramen in her hand her both elbows on my table that I abruptly yanked and just gave her a disappointing smile

"Is everything all right?" she cleared her throat, I know she's sincere and I trust her, she's my best friend slash sister slash seatmate, "You saw the whole thing right? Is there anything right about it?" She tilted her head to the side, anytime she does that, I always think of her weird, I removed her reaction from my mind and continued on what I'm doing right now.

The next lecturer just came in after the recess and I was truly slight sad and glad, because gosh! I missed the first subject, now I'm so early for the second subject, they might think I'm cutting classes and it's a big haha.

'Who's poking me! Aish!'

I drew my senses back to reality when Azel was poking my upper arm, I wanted to avoid her but her pokes were getting ticklish and getting hard that anytime soon she might dig a hole, I turned around to the side to meet her side

"What?!" I whispered-yelled to her to avoid us from getting caught, she smirked at me and made me scrunch my nose in disgust "You've got 20 seconds!" I warned her, I don't matter other students eavesdropping us because they don't even understand a word! "Join me for lunch, Pabo!" [translation: Idiot!] I moved my head upwards as a sign, she already knows it

"Yes!" She uttered with her hands form into a fist

DISCUSSION*

"Okay, any questions? You might forget some information when it comes to my test, I know you all too well, you kept on saying 'none', so say it already" Miss Bon, our Lecturer in Medicine, you know what I'm talking already. I'm taking medicine because I'm wanted to be a doctor.

Our history class is just optional, whether if you want to take it or not, but Ash and I are taking it, for the reason that it adds additional points to your grades.

"None Miss!" we all claimed together, our voices in a symphony,

"Okay, I'll be leaving now, be ready for tomorrow, get it? Okay, eat lunch now, and be safe!" she sweetly waved a good bye and we all got from our seats heading to the canteen or anywhere.

Miss Bon, or should I say Doctor Ye Min, P.d, is really a great lecturer, she doesn't want to be called Doc or doctor, because we are not in the hospital. She's like a mother to us, she cheers us all up and I like her, I wanted to be a great pediatrician like her! She speaks both mandarin, japanese, and english, because most of the students here are exchanged students or students from abroad like Ash and I, I'm from Florida and she's from California.

When I heard about the news that she is enrolling with the same university I gathered all my strength to enroll to, but she was enrolled first, so she is 4 weeks ahead of me, and I enrolled here 2 weeks ago, I was more than happy that we are mates .We both met because of our parents. Our parents' company and their company had collaborated, that is why we got close since junior high until up to now.

Miss Bon, got her things on her small envelope and stepped her feet outside the classroom already, while all of us were getting ready for lunch, because of course, who would not be happy for lunch break?
