As I pull in I see Normani, Dinah's stepsister, and her girlfriend(who is also my cousin), Ally. "Manibear!" I scream as I open my car door and I didn't even bother to shut it off.
"Lauren!!!" she yells as she runs towards me. I wrapped my legs around her waist and jumped on her. I hugged her tight. After we hugged, I walked over to say hi to Ally.
"Whaddup cuz?" I ask.
"Not much," she replies.
"Yo Lauser," Dinah calls out. "Do you want me to shut off your car for you?"
"Please. Can you also grab my bag too?" I ask Dinah.
"Sure, sure" she replies.
As I'm talking to Normani and Ally, I see her. A beautiful girl with chestnut brown hair. We make eye contact. Damn, I think to myself, she has gorgeous brown eyes. Then the girl smiles and I feel like my heart just skipped a beat or two. I was too busy looking at her that I didn't realize that I was being asked a question.
"Earth to Lauren!!" Normani and Ally shout.
"Wh-what?" I ask, snapping out of my trance.
"We asked you a question like 5 minutes ago," Normani says kind-heartedly.
"Sorry," I reply.
"What was occupying you attention?" Dinah asks me. My gaze wondered back over the to girl with the gorgeous brown eyes. They all followed my gaze.
"Go talk to her, Lo." Normani says to me.
At that moment the bell rings. I breathe a sigh of relief. Talk about being saved by the bell. Then we all walk into school together.
