Chapter 220: Burial

"Where did you go?" Aristele asked, his eyes wide. He had been startled to see that Lumielle had returned with blood staining her body and eyes filled with a glow that made him hesitate. She looked rather happy despite coming back smelling of carnage. 

Leo looked equally as startled running up to her and quickly using his gloves to try and wipe off the blood that remained on her face. She smelled like death and debauchery. There was the scent of incense that lingered. It made him hesitate to ask. He knew where she had gone and who she had gone with, but he kept quiet. If Lumielle didn't want Aristele to know, then she must have her reasons. 

"I went with Jenoix." 

It startled Leo to hear her say that. "Give Veronica my regards, but I think I should retire. It's been quite a long night." 

Aristele blinked, "Rowan, go tell Veronica Cassiel that I will be leaving as well."
