The splattering sound of rain was nice.

Her pen touched the vellum, finishing the letter to Lactia, she sealed it. Lumielle had been writing with the future Emperor for what felt like ages. The slow and steady pace of letters had already gathered with her Father slowly starting to shower Aristele in approval. He started to show up with him at events, letting him sit beside him during certain rulings and also just his favor.

He put on a good show.

Lumielle had to give her Father that. She leaned back in her chair.

Her head was starting to hurt. She had given her headache medicine to Aristele and had been too busy to make another one. Lumielle hadn't realized how time-consuming it would be to continue the hobby of creating medicine. Sebastian helped her but as of late, he had been coming around less and less. She wondered if he was alright.
