CHAPTER 2
*Taylor's POV*
The day seemed to drag by slowly especially since Sam wasn't in any of these classes I didn't even realize that it was lunch so after going to my locker to put my things away to make my way to the cafeteria which I dread every day, instead I just walk out the back door & head over to my favorite tree that I like to sit under to read, I don't bother eating lunch anymore since I usually end up wearing it so I just gave up although when Sam meets me at our favorite spot he tries to make sure I eat at least a little considering he knows what I go through at home in which I'm not allowed to eat a lot, maybe once a day and it's usually leftover or scraps.
As we're sitting there, he tells me he heard a rumor of new students from the Blood Stone pack will start soon. Why does that name sound so familiar... s**t… they're one of the strongest packs in the U. S. A! I believe he said in a couple weeks, which just adds to my anxiety of there being more people that will bully me like the rest. After lunch I went to my locker to grab the books I needed for my next classes but as soon as I turned around I realized I was being surrounded by the jocks with Andrew the alpha's son & soon to be the next alpha as their leader so I just kept my head down trying to walk around them which was my first mistake as they just shoved me against my locker hard that made me wince, my second mistake was finding my voice to tell them to leave me alone in which case they kicking & punching me until I'm curled up on the floor waiting until they finished them once they walked away I carefully got up & slowly made my way to my next class that unfortunately I ended up being late for so the teacher Ms. Levi sent me to the office to get a late slip, as you can tell she is one teacher that treats me like everyone else.
After school I headed over to the library to take out more books since I've read the last ones I took out several days ago, thankfully Mrs. Abbey was one of the good ones, she was great friends with my mother that never blamed me for what happened and she was like a second mother to me trying to make sure I was ok all the while knowing what I was going through with most of the pack.
Once finished I looked it was 4:15 so I rushed home the best I could with the pain I was feeling trying not to be late to avoid another beating unfortunately luck was not on my side as usual, as soon as I walked in the pack house I was face to face with my angry father and a fist coming right at my face while yelling asking where I was & if I was out whoring around with all the boys then telling me to hurry and make dinner.
When I finished setting the table and placed the food, I headed to my room in the basement with just a thin mattress and a very worn thin blanket on the floor with the few old clothes I own since nobody wanted me around them.
