Alaina pulled away and looked up at him sniffling and rubbing her eyes rid of tears, "Uncle Jake, you said the bad word…" she stared at him a slow smile appearing on her lips before she finally chuckled.

Jake on the other hand was upset and didn't feel like smiling just yet. He settled for a eye roll, "I think the situation forgives my tongue shedding its damn filter in front of you. Let me tell you, it was a horrible feeling to have all those tormenting thoughts roaming around in your head and then wishing that it is someone else's child and not yours." He looked so solemn speaking.

Alaina saw what he went thru for that time he thought it could be her they were talking about on the tv, "Hey, it's okay, all of us are just as selfish when it comes to our loved ones, you're not the only one." She put her hand on his shoulder rubbing it to comfort him.

"I'm okay…" she reassured her uncle although she really wasn't on the inside.
