Chapter 299: CHAPTER 299: To See Is To Believe
They were feeling emotional but they weren't crying, they were simply happy at the moment.
"How sure are you that Stormie is the only one who can snap him out of it?" Drake walked over and asked.
"I feel like they have a certain connection somehow. Stormie's intuition when we were young was what allowed the two of us to find Nixon not simply because of her ability to find scents. Especially so since Flora had hidden their location very well with her flowers. And I think you have noticed just how well they can coordinate with one another."
"Are you saying that Nixon wasn't the only one? That Stormie is actually..."
Saphira shrugged returning her look to the two people.
"If she haven't realized it yet, if she still think that it was only because he was a close friend. Then I guess she is a lost case," she added.
Her words implied that she knew Stormie has feeling for Nixon all along.
"You seem so sure," Felix commented.
"Well, all her reactions weren't the norm when he started distancing himself. I mean, they had those times over the past almost two years where they were at loggerheads. And she wasn't reacting that way at all. Yet even when you were there, her reaction was different. As if she couldn't see the otehr person beside her and could only see the fact that he changed after you appeared. As if she was subconsciously blaming your presence that he stopped interacting with her like usual."
He chuckled sadly, "I think right at this moment, she was already fully aware of her own emotions."
He couldn't help but cough, he was in tatters due to their fight.
He was holding back while Nixon wasn't, obviously he would be even more injured.
"Are you okay?" Ridge asked him in two different meanings.
Felix looked at him before chuckling, "When I confessed to her, she had this complicated look. It was as if she didn't understand why she couldn't answer me so easily. I thought it was only because she was shock. But then her attention kept going towards Nixon over the past days that he acted differently towards her. And just as Saphira said, she was almost ignoring me."
Then he smiled, returning his eyes towards the other two as well.
"And just a while ago, I can see that realization suddenly hits her."
"I'll help you find the right girl for you," Ridge said putting his arms around Felix's shoulder.
"I think I'll pass on that, I don't think we would be able to find one if I were to rely on you."
"You-"
Ridge loved his experiments that no girls could catch his eyes, asking for his help will be the same as asking for no help at all.
"I think you can rely on healing potions for now Felix," Willow said.
When they looked back at the two, they were already passed out.
"Come to think of it, why didn't Black Turtle help a while ago?" Felix asked them as they helped the other two in having a proper rest.
Willow did what she needed in fixing the things in the room.
"Simply because he couldn't. If the host loses control the mythological beasts would end up being confined by the energy of the host. Being suppressed to the point that when the energy suddenly disappears, the suppressed power would then explode," Saphira explained.
That is why they didn't dare enter the fight as well.
Because the stronger the opponent, the more energy the other would use to defeat them.
The more energy used, the more suppression for the power of the mythological beast.
Hunter walked out to speak with the owner regarding what just occured in the inn.
The sounds were obviously intense but because of the barrier he created surrounding the inner side of the room, no other damaged have happened in the inn.
"Being the host isn't an easy fit after all," Felix commented.
'That is why Raynisha is amazing, to be able to control her own energy rampaging due to the darkness which allowed the ceremony to happen. She is just that strong,' Saphira thought.

While they were all resting, the mythological beasts went for a meeting.
They are once again in their human child form.
The first time was way back when they just met up.
Now Vermilion Bird was included, he has red hair and eyes, matching the color of his fire perfectly.
"The Dark Lord appeared, didn't he?" Qirin was the first to speak.
Even though the Dark Lord tried to hide his presence during his appearance, being the beasts that was leading the battle against darkness since thousands of years ago, they were still able to feel it.
But because Vermilion Bird didn't call out and that nothing urgent has happened, they didn't make their move.
Vermilion Bird and Saphira not calling for them meant that the arrival of the Dark Lord was only a 'greeting' from his side.
"What does he look like?" Whit Tiger followed the question.
Vermilion Bird sighed, "His face was enshrouded with a dark mist, we couldn't clearly see his face."
"Just tell us what you are hiding already!!"
Everyone turned to Qirin when he spoke in an agitated tone.
The question he had been asking for so long that Vermilion Bird kept on evading, he knew the answer will clear up so many things.
"I can't," Vermilion Bird replied with a serious look on his face.
"WHY?!?!"
Following the seniority they had, the rest didn't utter a words while Qirin confronts Vermilion Bird.
"Because the situation requires the words, to see is to believe."
Confusion filled their little faces when he said this.
"Just what kind of riddle is this?" Qirin continued.
"It is not a riddle, because it is already out in the open. I have said my piece, it is up to you to understand what it meant. The only reason you still couldn't get the answer is because you yourself..."
