Chapter 2: Chapter 2. Rude Awakening
"Rain, wake up!" A stern yet familiar voice rang in my head. I tried my best to get up, but it seems that my legs weren't working. That is when I opened my eyes and saw a huge silver coated white wolf in the mirror. I tried to scream.
"Quiet down, Rain and don't freak out okay." My thoughts ran so many questions. "God this is super annoying," replied the voice inside my head. "Who is this wolf? Why am I seeing a wolf in my body or better yer why am I inside the wolf." "Woman of you don't shut the h**l up I won't be able to explain it to you.Now sit" the voice commanded. I tried my best but my body just flopped on the floor.
"My name is Winter, and you and I are one in the same. We live and breath in the same body. Granted I'm a wolf, you're human, but together we make one badass team. If you think why I didn't pop out of you sooner is because there were too many humans and the last thing we need is to get attention.Now I don't know if more of our kind exist, but what I do know is that our mate is waiting for us."
"Mate?" While I tried to configure things out."Yes, mate. I smelled him yesterday, and that pulse is what drove me to finally come out of the dark." I can't wrap my head around this. I returned to my human self.
"Winter why did it our body hurt?" I asked prefusley. "It's out first shift, once we shift more you won't feel the pain anymore, now since I have to be stuck inside you all day. It would be better to shift during the night time. I need to seriously go for a run."
" It's Oregon, you should be able to run in to the woods as much as you please.Please note livestock, and hunters you must avoid at all cost.Deer and bunnies are fine, be careful of snares, winter." I subsided
"Deers and Bunnies, what is this? F**king Twilight. Get me a good elk and I'm good for a whole week. Bunnies get out of here!!"
"Winter!! I mean it, you get hurt, we get hurt, and you said, we are one in the same, so why don't you shut up for once!" I swear this she wolf is something else. "I can still hear you, Rain." I got dressed. "Shifting is a bitch, Winter." As I went to sleep.
