"Why isn't Elise coming with us? She barely talked to us while we were there." Lisa and Su were both unhappy that they couldn't bring their friend along and that Stella was missing. 

"She is representing the tamers' guild tonight so she has to speak to a lot of people and make nice. She didn't seem happy about it either but it is her duty. Stella didn't like the crowding and decided to head home. We are storing food for her, remember." Both Lisa and Su remembered as soon as Walker said it. They felt a little silly to have been distracted so much from the party and what was going on around them. 

"So, Midnight, Onyx." Gil became incredibly serious. His face looked as if he was about to head to war against an enemy he could never beat. "Are you ready to taste the best delicacy of the harvest festival? It comes right from the fields, dried, popped with heat, caramelized with sugar, and dusted with a little salt. It's kettle corn and it is only made this time of year."
