Chapter 4: First Day
The next day Miranda gets woken up by grandma Josephine calling her name, ''Yes I'm coming...I'm coming'' Miranda shouts while pulling her clothes on and rushing down the stairs, ''What's happened'' she asks looking around.
''Nothing dear I just wanted to ask something'' grandma Josephine says, she pulls Miranda closer so she can whisper, 'I was wondering what you thought of Willy last night?'' she whispers but before Miranda could speak ''I think he took a liking to you I never have seen him so nervous to just take one step forward and he was blushing every time you looked his way'' she says giggling her eyes glittering. ''You're asking what I think of him and the first day of meeting each other'' Miranda whispers back giving a gentle nudge of excitement ''you really love romance don't you'' she giggles,
'Well?'' grandma Josephine nudges back hoping for an answer, ''I don't know grandma'' Miranda replies seeing Josephine give a huff and pulls the blanket off her ''nonsense I can see it in your eyes, my lass, you cannot hide it'' she says ''soon you will know'' she says aloud and suddenly grandma Georgina hears ''know what?'' her high voice asks, ''Nothing grandma'' Miranda says to Georgina and walks away, leaving Josephine and Georgina looking at each other.
Walking outside Miranda finds her mum watching the chocolate river, as she walks to her Miranda puts her hands in her pockets, ''I cannot believe what grandma Josephine has just asked me'' Miranda says, ''What my dear?'' Mrs. Buckets asks ''grandma Josephine has been asking that if I have feelings for Willy'' Miranda says and with that Mrs. Buckets laughs ''go on'' is all she can say through laughter while facing a very dis-improved Miranda, ''apparently, Willy couldn't stop looking at me last night'' Miranda replies sternly.
''Well by my point of view, Willy couldn't pour a drink without spilling it all over the table'' Mrs. Bucket replies still laughing, ''and the fact he could not stop looking at you without blushing'' she then says, ''and by our side of things you couldn't go near him either'' she nudges Miranda making her mouth gape open.
''Mum how could you say that'' she nudges back ''I don't know the guy hence why I didn't go near...and I didn't notice him blushing or spilling drinks,'' Miranda replies immediately looking away from a smiling Mrs. Bucket.

''Hi Willy'' Charlie says to Willy who was looking through a window to watch the everlasting gobstoppers fall into the water, ''Hello, Charlie'' Willy says he cannot forget last night, ''wasn't last night brilliant'' he says turning around, ''I bet it was nice to see your sister again, how long has it been?'' Willy asks,
''Yes it is...and it's been 7 years since her last visit'' Charlie replies ''but she's here to stay 3 months'' with that Charlie's face gleamed with happiness and soon sees Willy's face light up, ''that's amazing'' Willy says shoving his cane in the air and catching it.
''Willy'' Charlie says ''Can I ask you something about last night.'' Suddenly Willy stops, not turning around he didn't know what to do, ''Of course my child, ask away'' he replies cheerfully but dreading what the question maybe.
''You acted weird last night'' Charlie begins to say, 'here it comes' Willy says to himself embracing for impact, ''You split your drink, you couldn't move....yet you never moved one step...and you kept looking at my sister weirdly'' Charlie says all quickly to get it all in before Willy interrupts.
''Yes...'' Willy says quietly ''in fact I was very nervous'' he replies, ''but why Willy? My sister doesn't bite.....ohhhh'' Charlie suddenly realized being twelve doesn't mean he doesn't know the feeling of love is like. ''You fancy my sister'' he sudden;y says and with that Willy steps up his pace, ''No...I'' Willy tries to get his words out but he couldn't.''It's fine by me'' was the only thing Charlie could say and without Willy knowing he places his hands in a heart gesture and all the Oompa-Loompas started laughing making Willy turn around.
''What's so funny'' Willy says pouting his lips tightly while looking at the Oompa-Loompas who suddenly stopped laughing beside one, that one Oompa-Loompa copied Charlie's hand gesture and starts running around while making kissy noises, making all to start laughing again.
''That's it no more work today'' Willy snaps and storms away before he gets to the door he says ''no Cocoa beans for you all tonight'' and he suddenly slams the door shut. With that, all the Oompa-Loompas look at Charlie, ''Hey...I didn't expect him to react like that'' Charlie says while all the Oompa-Loompas start to close on, on him, ''He doesn't mean it... he will pay you...let me go chase him down'' with that Charlie jumps over them and runs after Willy.
''Willy....WILLY'' Charlie yells running towards a fast walking Mr.Wonka
''Why did you ask the question there Charlie'' Willy booms turning around making Charlie nearly fall from stopping too quick, ''I wouldn't do that to you'' Willy says pouting his lips, ''I'm sorry Willy I just wanted to know'' Charlie replies looking down to the floor, ''It's fine I guess'' Willy replies, ''life happens'' and with that Willy continues his walk,
''You are going to pay them aren't you?'' Charlie asks, ''of course I wouldn't mistreat my workers'' Willy replies.
''So do you want to come to ours for a snack?'' Charlie asks as Charlie asks that Willy thinks for a moment...''Yes, I'll come'' Willy replies. ''Well don't show your nerves this time or she will bite'' Charlie says chuckling making Willy's face show a shocked and terrified look.

''Hi'' Charlie says while walking inside ''Hi'' all say together, ''you staying over for bit Mr.Wonka?'' grandpa Joe asks.
''Yes please'' Willy replies placing his hat down, ''Well here is sandwiches with different filling and other stuff on the side'' Mrs. Bucket says directly looking at Miranda who coincidently sits facing a blushing Willy.
''Hello, Starshine...'' Willy begins to say, ''the Earth says hello'' Miranda finishes off with a big long wave and a smile on her face making Willy blush even more, ''I'm sorry I get nervous'' Willy replies while choosing a sandwich.
The room was quite all eyes was on Miranda and Willy which made things ten times worse, ''you know my chocolate river, it's the only factory who mixes its chocolate by waterfall....and the waterfall helps the chocolate be light and fluffy...'' Willy starts to say as his nerves take over, his hands start to shake uncontrollably that his drink went all over the table, ''Oh my'' Willy says shooting up from his chair ''I'm ever so sorry...here let me clean it up'' he immediately swabs a cloth over Miranda's thigh making her jump out of her chair.
''It's ok Willy.. please just sit down'' Mr. Bucket says trying not to laugh at the situation, as soon as Mr. Bucket said that Willy slowly sat back down pouting his lips while trying not to look at a flustered Miranda.
''I'll just go and change'' Miranda says while going upstairs to change into some jeans and a white shirt.
''Don't worry dear, accidents happen'' grandma Josephine says to Willy who was looking down ''she'll come through'' she then says tapping his arm making him smile a little, ''Yeah she will'' Charlie says hoping to make conversation at the dining table.
Suddenly Miranda comes back down and sits back on her chair, she sees Willy's drink is empty and because how shaky he has been she decides to pour him one, ''here'' Miranda says ''mistakes happen'' and suddenly grandma Josephine laughs, ''I just said that earlier'' she replies ''I knew you wouldn't get mad'' she then says making Willy snap his head up and look straight at Miranda's eyes, ''Your not m...m..'' Willy says, 'Mad?' Miranda replies ''Yeah...that'' Willy says.
''No I'm not mad'' Miranda replies ''Let's us eat and enjoy.''

It was time to get back for work for Charlie and Willy, but Willy had a different plan.
Walking to the door Willy stops, ''Miranda'' he says clutching onto his cane, ''shhh Charlie its Willy's moment'' grandma Josephine says holding Charlie back.
''Yes, Willy?'' Miranda asks watching him put his tall top hat on his head.
''Do you want to have a walk with me down the river?'' Willy asks slightly swaying side to side, he's never felt emotions like these before and he felt his blood warm up by asking the question.
As Miranda was about to answer she turns and sees grandma Josephine nodding her head, ''Yes..er sure..of course, I will'' Miranda replies nervously to see Willy smile and open the door.
''After you'' Willy says waving his arm for Miranda to exit the house.
