Fear started spreading through my body. “Wh….what are you doing here?” I asked him in a broken voice.

“Why? Do I need a reason to be in my wife's room?” he said in a cold angry tone.

What! Did he say, Wif….wife? And then he started taking steps in my direction….

He was staring at me with a cold gaze, still in his work clothes. Since when was he watching me sleep? I didn't hear the door open.

He stood in front of me and bent down to my level. I swallowed hard. As soon as our gaze met, shivers ran through my spine. His eyes are red and they seem tired. What is he doing here instead of being in his room?

A familiar scent hit my nostrils. The smell of his cologne and something else along with it. What is this different smell?

Oh my god.

My pupils get dilated.

He smells of alcohol. Is he drunk? If he is drunk, what is he doing in my room?
