Chapter 3: [1]My vinyl record
A melody resonates in the living room of our small house. In the middle where we stood, caressing the curve of her body that my hands laid on, I felt her soft hand as she rested it on my broad shoulder. Her hips moved and slowly took a step to the right side as she follows through my steps. Her long golden hair brushed through my arms at the motion of our body.
The sunlight brightens the room and touches the marble pothos plant that made its color jump into radiant green. The light reflected on our shiny wooden floor, and the sunray directed to us warmed us as we swayed in the mellow tune of the song playing in our vinyl recorder. One. Two. Three, and we stepped to the soft rhythm as we danced to mellow Chopin's Sonata in G minor Op 65 No 3 Largo.
Her hands intertwine mine as she closed her eyes and gave me such a dazzling smile. She sneered after leaning her head onto my chest to hear the melody of my heartbeat, her eyes interlock mine and felt a sudden blood rush. I felt her warm soft lips on mine when she took her hand to swift through my prickly beard and pulled my face closer to hers.
The clouds have gone grey, few trees swayed when the wind whirled on this misty grass field, where we all stood and bawled in her farewell.
Lifting the casket, I tried to suppress my tearful eyes but my face wrinkled as tears flowed after reminiscing the beautiful moments I had with my wife.
Her dreamy smile played through my head like a broken vinyl record. Never did I imagine a song we danced to, will be played as a song of requiem for you.
Somehow, it carried a misery tone as I felt powerless carrying the coffin to lower you six feet underground.
