When Samson finally let go of her wrist, his lips moved. “Belle,” he whispered, but drifted back into unconsciousness instantly.

Isabella held him while she watched every movement of his body. She had surprised herself at how strong she’d been today. She was surprised at how she had gone from being mad at him to saving him immediately she saw him Hurt. She remembered what Vanessa had said about being his mate and she shivered. She wasn't ready to accept that yet.

Isabella woke in the middle of the night and looked around. Somehow she had fallen asleep. And a very peaceful sleep for that matter, she observed. There had been no dreams to trouble her this night, and she was glad because it had been a while since she slept this well.
