Chapter 9: Chapter Nine

"Mr Warrington, if English is too boring, perhaps you'd love the extra hour you're about to spend with me this evening?" Mr Scrutton's voice jolts him from his mind as he finds all his classmates' eyes watching him.

"Sorry, I'll pay attention." he answers, placing a deep scowl on his face as soon as the teacher turns to the board making those watching him turn away. An uneasy feeling settles at the back of his mind, the feeling of being watched and followed by an invisible shadow. As if there's a darkness looming just outside his mind waiting to enter. This scares him and that's saying a lot.

The agony of having a repeat of Helena's scream in his mind over and over again on his mind makes him feel as if he's going crazy. Each time seeing her eyes widen as his glowing eyes shone in the night and then the scream.

What is happening to me?!

The thought keeps nagging at his mind, unable to concentrate on anything as the images swarm into his mind once more.
