Chapter 29: a second discple
Feng Yang and Lin Xiaoge fought ghe group of cultivators and were at a disadvantage. With the number of people and all around the same strength, they were pushed back.
But, Lin Xiaoge and Feng Yang were not weak. One of the cultivators who were about to attack Lin Xiaoge suddenly turned to attack his teammates.
Feng Yang waved his sword as 1,700 blades shot towards the group of cultivators. With that one wave, over 25% of his Qi was used.
Ling Han watched calmly, and it didn't take long for the group of cultivators to be killed. But Lin Xiaoge and Feng Yang tried, as they used up almost all of their Qi.
Ling Han nodded slightly before looking at the sky. it was snowing slightly, which made Ling Han sigh helplessly. To leave the city in winter was going to be a pain.
There was nothing in that city to steal, so he just left without caring to kill anyone. What was the point of killing those guards or stealing the treasure of that clan?
Ling Han waved his hands as 3 Qi blades shot out, flying towards the city and killing seven people following them.
Feng Yang turned around in shock and watched as a group of clouds behind them disappear. No Qi came from this cloud, and it acted like any other cloud.
But the seven people were killed with him not looking back, plus it was just his finger. And looking closer, these guys were not weak.
'Master is amazing.' Feng Yang thought as he held onto his sword.
They flew on for a long time before stopping when they arrived over a forest. A strange sound came from the forest, which caught Ling Han's attention.
Looking down, Ling Han's eyes turned sharp as he saw a kid stick in his hands swing his sword against a tree.
Flying down, Ling Han and the others land on a tree. Ling Han had narrowed as he noticed this kid's movements were not simple.
"that's a nice saber technique." Ling Han said, seeing the minor cuts on the tree caused by the kid.
The fact a kid could do this without Qi was unthinkable. A Qi cultivator was nothing without Qi. They would not be lesser than an average human.
"You are." The kid's heart skipped a beat upon hearing Ling Han's voice. His eyes turned cold as he turned around. A saber appeared in his eyes as he swung to kill stab Ling Han's neck.
Demonic Qi exploded from the kid. Ling Han's eyes widened slightly at this. But he held his finger out, grabbing the sword with ease.
"how!" The kid's eyes were wide, but Ling Han got to see how the kid looked.
A kid with long back messy hair. There was a cut that went from his upper right eye all the way to the bottom left side.
Looking at the kid's eyes, Ling Han saw deep hate within the kid's eyes. There were lifeless as if he lost all meaning to life.
"what could a kid about nine years old have gone through." Ling Han asked as he let the saber go before looking at the drop of blood at his fingers, but it healed almost instantly.
"That is not a simple saber, don't get careless. It extremely sharp. Plus, I sense a soul within," The black tower said to which Ling Han nodded.
"How are you not injured." The kid said as he stepped backward.
"Feng Yang." Ling Han said calmly as Feng Yang came running over with Lin Xiaoge, who was bored.
"fight him." Ling Han said as he threw the lightning sword at Feng Yang and went to stand at the side.
Feng Yang was confused as he looked at the side and back at Ling Han. But the kid attacked first. Feng Yang quickly blocked as he stepped backward to balance himself.
Feng Yang frowned as he sensed the killing intent from the Saber and the even stronger killing intent from the kid.
He stepped forward as he pushed the kid backward before ringing his word and sending 10 blades out. The kid stepped left to right as he dodge the blades before stepping forward and rushing towards Feng Yang.
Just as he reached Feng Yang, his eyes shrunk as he saw lightning flash on Feng Yang's body. With an explosion, lightning exploded from Feng Yang's body, as lightning armor formed on him. this wasn't from the lightning sword, but his own Dao.
"give up." Feng Yang said calmly. This battle was nothing, although the kid was at level 5 of the sky realm. 4 levels above his cultivation, but so what. he could face those seven levels above his cultivation.
His strength was at level 8. This kid was of no match to him. in fact, he thought it was a waste of time.
"... impossible, I don't believe this." The kid yelled as demonic Qi exploded out. Ling Han frowned slightly as he looked at the ground under him, which was drying up.
'The Dao of Death? Time?' Ling Han could think of what Dao this was. It couldn't be the Dao of Time or Death. How would a kid know two heavenly Dao?
"This is the Dao of decay. but it's a high level, Grand Dao. something that shouldn't be in the lower realm." The black tower said as Ling Han frowned
The Dal of Decay is a combination of the Dao of Death and time. Two heavenly Dao that are only topped by the Dao of creation and Destruction.
Ling Han looking at the sword, could guess this was an Inheritance this kid got. Ling Han smiled slightly. This kid was simple. He waved his hands as two chairs appeared. He and Lin Xiaoge sat down as they eat some food from the spirit farm.
They watched as the demonic Qi transformed into a massive demon with sharp hands. The demon opened its mouth as a beam of demonic Qi shot towards Feng Yang.
Feng Yang didn't hesitate as his Lightning armor strengthened with a swing of his sword. 1,700 blades of lightning Qi shot forward, raining opening the beam.
But his eyes shrunk as the demon destroyed all the blades with ease. He crossed his hands as the armor gathered in front of him to block the attack.
But slowly, the armor was decaying as the Demonic Qi rained upon it. Ling Han seeing this snapped his finger. The lightning sword shot out of Feng Yang's hands as he flew towards the demonic Qi.
It fell behind an armor of Qi on Feng Yang to protect him while it bathed in the beam.
*sensing a new energy... Demonic Qi, adding energy to the lightning sword. the host can now use Demonic Qi if he wishes.* the system said
*sensing a strange ability within the Demonic Qi... the Dao of decay. adding to the lightning sword...* the system said as Ling Han smiled at this
the sword flew back into Feng Yang's hands, just as the beam disappeared. Allowing everyone to see The kid had fallen to his knee.
"I..." The kid's heart seemed to break at this sight, all of this, and he lost to someone with a lower cultivation.
"Master, you want me to kill him?" Feng Yang asked as he looked at Feng Yang
"no, let the kid be. let's go." Feng Yang said lazily as he looked at Lin Xiaoge, who had a frown while looking at the kid. he sensed a hint of Disgust from her towards this kid.
"Yes." Feng Yang nodded as he ignored the kid and walked to Feng Yang's side. As for the battle, he didn't put it to heart as he believed all of them used someone else powers.
"before we live, kid. where did you get the demonic technique?" Ling Han asked lazily
"... you not going to force it out of me?" The kid was confused,
"it just a simple technique. the grand Dao of decay isn't all that great." Ling Han said lazily
The kid's lifeless eyes looked at King Han's eyes. He noticed something was different about him. as if he really didn't give a shit about his stuff.
"... I'm Di Tain. Please take me as your disciple." The kid said, seeing Ling Han walking off when he didn't say anything.
"..." Ling Han thought for a second if he could throw this kid into the spirit farm. Wouldn't he have all of his stuff?
"First, you must pass a test of mine," Ling Han said calmly as he thought of the guard thing he did for Feng Hang.
Di Tain stood straight up as determination burned in his lifeless eyes.
"First, tell me a thing or to about yourself." Ling Han said calmly
"I'm Di Tain. I was the son of the sect leader of the nightly Saber sect located not too far away from here. A few months back. the prince of the Golden Tiger empire stopped by." He said as he kept a close eye on Ling Han
"he came reached for an inheritance of some powerful cultivator. He reached for weeks before he realized he couldn't find it. To vent his anger, he... he raped many females of the sect before destroying it to keep news of what happen quiet." He said
"I was only able to escape because the whole sect worked together, to fight him. be even then they all died and he fkew other those they escaped. I only got away because I found the inheritance he was searching for. I trained here for then since, working hard so I can get revenge on everyone." He said softly
Although the kid didn't much, Ling Han guessed he saw the prince do some stuff to those close to him. he was only 9 years old at most, plus Ling Han had heard of the sect he was talking about behind destroyed.
Think for a moment, and seeing Lin Xiaoge were looking at with hopeful eyes. he shrugged. Lin Xiaoge at first thought this guy was a bad guy who should be killed, but hearing his back story, her heart softened.
"sure, you can be my disciple. But first, there are two rules I should let the both of you know. The first rule is no fighting to the death amongst my disciples. You two don't have to like each other. But you must show your respect to those with high ranking."
"and the second is to do as you wish, live life to its fullest. If someone gets in the way, then kill them. if the world also gets in your way, then kill it too." Ling Han said calmly, which made Di Tian slightly speechless
Was this how a teacher should act? He has seen many elders of the sect, and all of them were strict to the disciples.
But he liked it, a simple teacher who would point his middle finger at the world without a care. This is the air he got from Ling Han, a wild, carefree man who does as he wished.
"alright. Time for the torture... I mean training." Ling Han said with a smile, which made Di Tian have second thoughts about him.
