Chapter 64: Chapter 62- A Spy?
The next morning, Kazuki checked his traps and found eagles on the north and west. When he went to the east to check the trap there, he found the one that looks like a phoenix with purple flames. When he tuned around to take his scissors, the bird in the cage was a common dove. He was sure that it was a phoenix like bird at first so he wonder what happened. If the bird escaped from the cage, he would immediately notice because the magic particles in the trap would move.
He observed the bird and decided to do a little experiment.
He tried to cut the bird's feathers but as the scissors got closer, the bird disappeared. He then used his astral eyes and saw the bird's magic inside the cage. He realized that the clover bird's ability is not invisibility but shape shifting.
As he was about to put down his scissors, a dagger went flying towards him. Yozuko's intercepted the dagger with his armor and disappeared into the shadows.
Behind the trees was a strange man with a green hood. He saw his attack miss and was about to escape when he was suddenly unable to move.
He looked below him and saw something come out of his shadow. He panicked and tried to flee but he suddenly couldn't move his legs. He felt a hand tapping his shoulder and turned around. He saw a black knight like figure with glowing eyes. He was so scared that he screamed for help.
Kazuki approached the man and commanded Yozuko to stand down. Yozuko backed off while keeping the stranger's shadow locked.
Kazuki went closer and the man started begging for his life. Kazuki reached out his hand and the man closed his eyes and prepared for the worse when he hood was taken off which revealed the face of an elf with a gemstone in his forehead.
"A spy?" Kazuki wondered
