Chapter 2: Devil's Child.

Year 1516.

It has been 7 years since the concealed attack on Mary Geoise. King had been on the run for the whole time. His freedom actually very limited.

He didn't expect them to be that persistent to catch him, but thankfully after three years since the attack, Fisher Tiger carried on his raid plan, albeit being three years later from the canon, and taking the majority of the heat from King.

King after running away from the holy land didn't enter the grand line immediately, first he doesn't know jack shit about navigation and sailing a ship, second he needs a crew even if it's a small one. So he directly flew to one of the four blues, West Blue.

His Hydrogen abilities made moving from place to place very convenient. He can make his body lighter than air and propel himself with the burst of gas. Although it is a good use of his powers, it is very taxing on his body even with his monstrous stamina.

One of the islands in West Blue, City of Yoln. Being the second last island before the Reverse Mountain and having no Marine Branch Base, the whole city became a gathering hub for the misfits from all over the West Blue.

Inside a noisy bar, group of Pirate was arguing over a young beautiful girl at the bar counter. She is a tall and slender young girl with shoulder-length black hair and dark blue eyes. She was reading the recent newspaper, planning her next move.

She is Nico Robin, aka Devil Child with 79 million belly bounty. Last survivor of the scholars of Ohara island and the only person able to read Poneglyphs.

It has been 13 years since the destruction of Ohara and her life of Fugitive. She joined countless underground organizations until they or she betrayed them. Now she is planning to enter the grand line, pursuing her dream to find Poneglyphs.

"Hey beautiful." One stinky pirate leaned on the counter, getting closer to her face. She scrunched her nose in disgust, he must never bathed in over a decade. "How 'bout a little drink? Or we could just get a private little room, you know what I mean." He raised his eyebrows a few times.

Robin just sighed heavily, just how many more times they have to hit on her? "Thanks, but no thanks." She said never lifting her head from the newspaper.

Pirate's eye twitched at blatant refusal. " Oi, just because you are beautiful you can ignore others!?" He reached to grab her arm, but suddenly someone with huge hand grabbed his head and smashed it to the counter, spiderweb crack spread all over.

"Oops, that's not the bell." On sat down a young man with long red hair in a grey kimono, gently ringing the little bell at the counter. "Bottle of wine please."

Robin raised her head little and looked at the young man, she felt something familiar with him but couldn't put a finger on it.

"Looking is free but don't touch the merchandise." Young man joked slyly.

She snorted lightly "As if."

"Guessed as much… after all Nico Robin doesn't have time for to waste."

She twitched little but still kept her cool posture. "Here to arrest me? Or after my bounty?" I heard Marine's even offering Officer rank now."

"Ha." Boy laughed. "Me? Marine? They would execute me first instead of you. They still hate me from that last time."

"Last time? What did you do?"

"Nothing. Just burned the holy land and killed a world noble. You would think they would cut me some slack right? Nope instead they send whole Cipher Pol group after me. Hard to shake those bastards I gotta tell you."

Robin's eyes widened, finally figuring out the person beside her. Fanalis D. King, aka King the Red Lion. Bounty of 150 million belly, accused for organizing terrorist attack on the holy land but she never knew he actually killed a world noble.

Well of course the World Government will conceal the whole truth, can't let civilians know that someone actually killed a World Noble, so called God. Surely there will be Riots against the government.

If there is a person that World Government hates more than her it would be him. Of course Fisher Tiger is at that level too but he already met his end.

"What a man at your caliber would do in one of the blues?" All the known or high bounty pirates she knew already entered or preparing to enter the grand line.

"Well, Marines are finally focusing on other people so I thought gathering a crew and entering the grand line would be good." He answered and looked at her with a smile. "And looks like I found perfect First Mate."

Robin almost fell over from her chair. "What? Me? Are you idiot or something?"

"Hahahaha! who else I could choose? From what I learned about you're pretty smart and knowledgeable about the seas and the islands in the grand line. Also, we both are wanted by World Government, we can trust each other more than others too."

That got her thinking. Sure, she is planning to enter grand line and for that she need to at least join some people and King is actually pretty good choice for that. No weak pirate could survive in Grand Line but what about a man that raided Holy Land and able to escape even though at least a dozen of Vice-Admiral confronted him?

"If you know me that much then you also know about my betrayals. No crew or organization survived me." She said but King could see glimmer of hope in her eyes.

"Hmm…" He folded his arms on his chest and looked at the bar ceiling. "Yes, I know and wary of that but… it's hard isn't it? Being all alone…"

She looked forward with a faraway look in her eyes. "Yeah…" she remembered words of a kind Giant. Maybe… maybe she wouldn't have to be alone…

They stayed in silence for a while and then Robin opened her mouth. "So… what is your plan? Captain."

Large grin appeared on King's face. "First… celebrate! All drinks on me!" Everyone in the bar shouted with joy, ordering every drink available.

[Ding! You recruited Nico Robin! 1 Talent Point and 200 Talent Proficiency added!]

[Ding! Major impact on story line! 1 Lottery Ticket rewarded!]

King cheered inwardly; it has been 8 years since he got a talent point!

After the Holy Land Raid, he explored more of the system he received. Unlike other systems, his is less rewarding but suits him better. Whenever he does something major or impacts the original story line, he will earn Talent points and Proficiency, and very rarely lottery tickets.

While beating stronger enemies grants him Proficiency points. But his enemy has to well-known, ranked or numerous for him to gain anything. Which is not easy in one of the four blues.

First time he received Talent Points was when he successfully escaped holy land. He received 3 point for burning Holy Land, 2 for killing a World Noble, 1 for saving Boa Hancock and finally 2 for escaping alive.

His Talent system has three major title and branches out from there. First is Daily, in here you can find talents that you will use in your daily life, like Navigation, cooking, sewing etc. He uses his Talent Proficiency on this part.

Second is Body, in here you can condition your body more and better but the thing is that you can't use Talent Points but only Proficiency. Everything in this branch has a cap of ten thousand proficiency, but as he can raise his stats with training alone, he doesn't put points that much. Only in emergency.

Lastly is Combat, this is where he focused on and Talent Points shines more. Here he can add Talent Points to learn anything combat related of this world. With every thousand proficiency point he gets 1 Talent Point.

What he loves about this system is that it will not make him master of any martial art or Haki with just adding point but raise his talent so he can learn it bit faster than other. More point he adds, faster his training becomes. Making him stronger but without taking the fun of getting stronger.

His Stats looks like this;

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Name; Fanalis D. King

Age; 19

Gender; Male

Talent Points; 1

Talent Proficiency; 276

Everyday; Navigation (1176 / 10000)

Cooking (743 / 5000)

Body; Strength (4798 / 10000)

Constitution (7435 / 10000)

Dexterity (4322 / 10000)

Combat; Observation Haki (2 / 10) (654 / 1000)

Armament Haki (4 / 10) (54 / 1000)

Conqueror's Haki (2 / 10) (289 / 1000)

Hand-To-Hand Combat (6 / 20) (943 / 1000)

Swordsmanship (2 / 30) (876 / 1000)

Soru (6 / 20) (78 / 1000)

Geppo (4 / 20) (690 /1000)

Rankyaku (4 / 20) (765 / 1000)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

While it seems there is nothing much going on, with only this much he can fight against whole West Blue by himself.

With the 8 points he got from Holy land he placed 3 on Armament Haki and 2 on Observation. 1 on Conqueror's Haki and 2 on Hand-To-Hand combat. He also found that he can learn combat skills with training alone like the three of the Rokushiki style. Fanalis's has great leg power so learning and applying those three weren't a problem.

He put the 1 point he got from Robin in Observation Haki, balancing between Armament and Observation Haki. Leaving the proficiency points as savings.

"Now for the Lottery…" he opened the lottery section and greeted by a large wheel. He saw countless items from all the worlds he knows and much more.

He spined the wheel and after a while it landed on an airplane ticket looking golden ticket. When he read the description he couldn't help but cackle like a madman.

'Now things are getting interested.'
