Chapter 3: Gone

I dropped to the ground and cried my heart felt like it was broken,father helped mom inside the house and left me there I cried until I was so exhausted I fell asleep I jurked awake when I felt small hands trying to pull me up,leo and orion helped me into bed where I cried myself to sleep again.i woke the next morning got dressed brushed my hairwent to the living room,I was shocked by what I saw,mom was cleaning like any other day"oh morning lissa dear,your father and brothers are out hunting today so you can help me","but lani mom we need to find lani," "no larissa,Nalani is gone,now we move on" I couldn't believe it, i had to be hearing things she cant just forget her daughter just like that, "but mom" I saw anger flash in her eyes before she yelled "NALANI WASNT THE FIRST,AND SHE WONT BE THE LAST,MARK MY WORDS THEY ARE COMING FOR YOU NEXT."and with that she stormed away from me,I didn't realize my face was wet ,at some point I had started crying but I couldn't make sense of what mother had said "nalani wasnt the first"so who was before? One thing I was clear on,she said I was next,i needed to talk to father, mom had to be wrong.
