Jay had been pretty bored for the last week, but he had tried his best to entertain himself. The map they had didn't point to Circe's Island directly since very few ever come back to document it, but it gives a general location of the island. Still they had somehow gotten unlucky enough that they had to sail around some more. They still hadn't sighted the island, but Daisy and Davis were looking out for it practically the entire day. Jay meanwhile had to steer the ship while fending off Valor and Leon. Jay had started to feel a bit impatient since he wasn't completely used to this much calm, but he didn't say anything since it wouldn't help much.
"Jay! Jay! Start steering towards that really small dot! I think that's the island!" Davis yelled out, as Jay moved the ship in the direction of the island. He smiled, just maybe he would be able to become someone who could protect his party like Valor could. Just maybe.
'Leon is a really good actor though. I didn't even realize he was suspicious of me until he brought it up. Though I can't say that I don't respect him.' Jay yawned a bit before looking out to the slowly enlarging dot that they were heading towards. He just hoped they didn't meet any unsavory end.
"So we should come up with a game plan." Davis suddenly brought up during lunch.
"Yeah, let's try to seem as unthreatening as possible. We aren't there for a fight with a goddess or anyone. We're just there to learn and take on the dungeon. We aren't there to pick a fight with any locals or get on any high-horses. Remember what happened to Odysseus, don't get caught in the extreme comfort of it all. Leon, Valor, don't try to pick a fight with anyone please." Jay stared deep into both their souls, as both boys went pale and nodded.
"Alright..so do we have any information on the dungeon?"
"Nope, it's either unreliable or non-existent. We'll be the first ones to clear it if it all goes well. Dungeons that are cleared for the first time give out better rewards. There's also the possibility we can farm it for a while if it doesn't disappear after the first clear. Although if it does we'll end up with even better rewards." Jay saw the party gain a bit more excitement, as they each finished eating and went to prepare for the dungeon some more. Jay couldn't help, but feel nervous though. This was a dungeon with no information to go off of. They had to be extra careful and work better as a team. Of course when they did manage to synergize you would think they had been working as a party for years. It was a sight to see, he just hoped that it was enough. He looked off into the distance to see the island slowly getting bigger. He hoped they would be alright.
