Chapter 34: Chapter 33: So...mixer? [Leon]
"Sorry, but you can't pass. We need to see your identification." The problem with this was Jay didn't have one and neither did Leon. They wouldn't be allowed in and so they would need to stay outside for the festival.
"Excuse me, but how dare you stop my caravan. Do you know who I am?" Valor flashed a sigil which caused the guards to sputter.
"Dude, I don't want to become a fugitive again." Jay whispered to Leon and Valor.
"I-I'm sorry your highness! Please make your way through." Valor smirked before stashing away the sigil.
"W...hat was that?"
"A sigil."
"Valor...are you royalty? Is that the royal sigil?" Jay asked, suspiciously.
"Oh no I stole this. Don't think too hard about it."
"Now that we're here….what do you say about going to a mixer?"
"Yes."
"Uh...I'm not sure...maybe I'll just walk around…"
"Come on...just the trio. Who knows, maybe you'll find your soulmate." Jay closed his eyes before smiling, "Alright, I'm down."
"Hey Eunice, Kai, Davis, Daisy, we're gonna be going to an event! We'll be back before the festival officially starts!" They didn't give any more explanation before speeding off. They entered the area where the mixer was taking place when way older women arrived.
"Leon….this is all you, buddy." Valor ran in time to escape, but Jay was not so lucky.
"Give them a chance….?"
'This is good...maybe I can finally ask him about his disgusting stench.' The older women set down refreshments and drinks before leaving. Two girls about their age entered, as Leon smirked, "Valor is going to be so pissed off." Jay could only drink his juice before a small smile appeared on his face.
[2 Hours Later]
"Those idiots really drank to their heart's content without realizing it was alcohol. Pick up their valuables and let's get out of here."
"Yeah, if we were idiots. We spit that shit out while you were gone and instead replaced our drinks with some nice grade-A, fat-free, calorie-free, gluten-free water." Leon smirked while Jay put them all to sleep with a spell.
"So you wanna steal their money instead?"
"Yeah." They did just that and soon were running down an alleyway laughing the entire time, "Hey Jay, do you really not remember anything about your past?"
"That's a bit out of nowhere, but yeah I don't. All I remember is waking up in….middle of nowhere with nothing but my name and magic in my brain."
"So you can't tell me why you have the disgusting stench of a monster, human, and something else? I, myself, am a hybrid too between a werewolf and human...but your stench is foul." Jay's eyes widened at this declaration before he sniffed himself.
"Is this some sort of Monster Tamer-"
"Summoner. I am a Summoner." Leon emphasized the 'Summoner' part.
"Summoner* sense? Or is this another ability from worshipping a deity? Unless it's something to do with the werewolf part of your physiology."
"I'm the one asking the questions here, but yeah it has something to do with the last two."
"I'm honestly not sure what I am. I believe that I'm human and that I probably have some sort of past, but that's it." Jay's face was completely serious while making this declaration, as Leon sighed.
"Okay, I'll believe you for now. Let's go find the rest of the party."
