Chapter 2: Chapter 2 - Regrets or no regrets

(AN: Title is a variation of Shakespeare <-- no relation with chapter it just sounds good in my mind)

On my tombstone I always wanted to have engraved „Humans are the architects of their own demise". I doubt anyone would remember that. This situation was not expected by anyone. Mother probably will be saddened but my brother will take care of her. Now I'll experience the ultimate riddle of humanity. What comes after death. Soo... For now I can tell there is no light at the end of the tunnel... There is even no tunnel in fact... There is no nothing just empty black space endless and me as only consciousness without shape nor form. I bet that the „light in the tunnel" theory is because the weakening body is loosing the sense of sight and field of vision is closing leaving the impression of light in the tunnel.

So what should I do? I just died and here is nothing to do. Well let's just objectively summarize my ex-life. Weak... I was too weak both mentally and physically. Mentally because I did not voice out my convictions and was afraid of failure. Physically because I could not stand against those stronger than me.

Well... That was quick. I hope if there will be something after this emptiness I'll do better. A life with no regrets without lost opportunities. A life in which I could smile when I look behind. I don't want to ever blame anyone for my failures and mistakes. I want to be strong enough to carry my burdens.

[CLAP CLAP CLAP]

Suddenly I hear slow unenthusiastic claps. I try to locate the source and I see a human shape near me that almost blends with surrounding darkness.

???: Splendid. That was so cliche that I was almost moved to tears. Now can we move to the business? Not everyone has time to be dilly-dallying.

MC: Who are you?

???: Does it even matter? Why do all of you always ask this? You have no capability to understand who I am even if I wanted to tell you the children version of the true answer. But for the sake of formalities you can call me God.

MC: Oh... So what now? Heaven? Hell? Probably Hell...

God: I would happily send you on your merry way, even to Hell. But I believe today I cannot. It would break one of the fundamental laws of the universe.

MC: And that is?

God: Truck-kun...

MC: Seriously... -_-

God: As vexing as it is, yes. You see Truck-kun and it's purpose were established right at the beginning of all creation and all mortals are affected by it's rule and purpose. Every mortal that die killed by Truck-kun is meant to be sent to the next life with memory intact and some bonuses.

MC: Where is the catch?

God: There is none. Now, choose where you want to be reincarnated and your three wishes.

MC: Hmm… I would like to go to Alagaesia.

God: Now that's something fresh… Looking at trends I thought you would want to be a Wizard or a Superhero. But look at you… We got ourselves a dragonrider wannabe!

MC: Well maybe next time…

God: Hahaha!!! That's a good one. We will meet next time only if you find a truck in a world with a medieval-fantasy setting.

[Truck-kun: He'll never know what's hit him… Kekekekeke!!!]

MC: So… Can I say my wishes now!?

God: Hit it.

MC: Thanks to you for reminding me, I want to have "Mind Arts" from Harry Potter. This should cover Occlumency and Legilimency I think.

God: Trying to be smart I see… I'll let this one slide but there will be no 2in1 packages.

Ok, playing tricks on a "Creator" level being may not be the brightest of ideas but thanks to this I have learning and spying covered. So let's go with survival now.

MC: Hmm… I would like to have "Eidetic Muscle Memory". When I practice and achieve a perfect move one time I could always make the move perfectly. So with it being "eidetic" I could always replicate a move I made once. It would let me fight like a Master easily and act like a noob when needed.

God: Nothing too OP as of yet… Third wish?

MC: I don't know… Can I ask for advice?

God: That depends on what it is about.

MC: In the story there is a really peculiar point that I want to change but I'm afraid if I do it wrongly the whole war will ultimately go bad…

God:Spit it out of yourself!

MC: Is the change that I want to make good enough?

God: I can't tell you how the future will unfold itself but I can tell you will be surprised. With this that's all the wishes. I hope we won't see each other… again…

That was the last thing I heard before everything blurred for me, and I knew I was on my way.
