Chapter 9: DIAGON ALLEY

Harry woke up as usual to the shouting of his aunt. He woke up, cleaned the house, made coffee and fetched a newspaper for his uncle while once again heading upstairs to clean the first floor. In the afternoon after asking for his aunts permission he made his way out of the house. He was going to go to diagon alley to settle some matters.

He knew that he had no money to take a private or a public transport so he made a very sad look at the roadside in order to hitch a ride to the center of the london and off to the magical world. A elderly couple heading towards central london saw the boy and after hearing that he was out to search for his dad and now is lost they asked for his address, after looking like he thought hard harry responded by saying the address to tom's bar in the muggle london.

They reached the address and without saying much harry rushed out of the car and went directly into the bar. Due to the charm of the place, though the couple was confused they soon got distracted and headed back to their destination.

Once inside harry noticed the once familiar bar and soon spotted Tom. Harry knew that every new entrant could request the help of the bartender to enter diagon alley so he rushed to tom and asked him to open the way. Tom had seen many orphan kids making their way for the first time and after all these years did not require to pry unnecessarily. He quickly opened the way and Harry step into the wizarding world once again.

Diagon Alley was just like harry remembered, full of life with everyone having a smile on their faces as they went about their day. But unlike the first time he entered the Alley there were very few kids crowding around the shops being enthusiastic about their new term at Hogwarts. It was the beginning of holidays and it will be still some time before the parents rush for shopping.

Harry knew that for anything he would first need money as well as help as he was not yet old enough. He soon made his way towards his first stop, Gringotts.

Enter, stranger, but take heed

Of what awaits the sin of greed

For those who take, but do not earn

Must pay most dearly in their turn

So if you seek beneath our floors

A treasure that was never yours

Thief, you have been warned, beware

Of finding more than treasure there.

As he read the warning on the entrance of the wizarding bank he could not help but remember the Ukrainian Ironbelly standing guard under the bank and shudder thinking back to their reckless actions and their luck on being alive after riding it.

Upon entering he proceeded towards the teller sitting across the hall at the highest position as he knew that only the head teller had the right to approve the inheritance test. He made his way to the teller and requested an audience to inform him of his identity. Unlike his thought the teller completely ignored him, upon seeing this he switched his tactic and raised his messy hair and showed the scar to the teller.

This got his attention and he helped Harry into the room at a floor below the building. Once seated he asked Harry if he has any key to a vault and after hearing a negative he inquired about the permission for his inheritance test.

He informed harry that due to being underage his guardian has to be informed about him coming for a inheritance test and seeing as Harry was important he would also be required to inform the other important members of the society.

Harry came prepared for such a possibility as in the previous life everyone seemed to know of his return after his trip to the alley with Hagrid. He requested to have an audience with the goblin king as he would be interested in a information that harry could provide.

Seeing as it was THE Harry Potter requesting to meet the king it was his duty to at least inform his king of the request. He went back as Harry waited patiently. After about half an hour the door opened once again and in came a single Goblin who gave a very strong aura, one he had previously felt from great witches and wizards.

In his previous life though he did not meet the king yet he had heard that it was because of this king as well as his twelve comrades that the race was able to stand against the wizards as someone to be not taken lightly.

The Goblin came and sat behind the desk without so much as greeting. Seeing this Harry informed him that he wished to deal with the Goblins that in return of not announcing his return as well as inheritance to the magical community nor his guardian he will provide them with support as the heir of at least two very ancient and noble families, when he takes his rightful seat at the wizengamot to make sure that goblins are allowed the privileges they lost due to the previous wars.

The goblin king was inwardly surprised that the boy who lived would willingly show support for their community in front of the magical world. Though satisfied he wished for some more benefits and thus kept silent. Noticing his silence Harry understood his thoughts and voiced out that apart from his friendship he would also like to start a business with them with giving the Goblins seventy percent of the profits and After coming out next year they could utilise his presence for all the support that they would require.

The goblin king was fully satisfied and even felt a little guilty as his rage on the wizards was being taken out on a child no more than ten and that to someone who was a hero for all.

The goblin king had his retainers enter the room and announced that this meeting and the inheritance will not be informed to anyone other than the people of the room and announced that Harry Potter will be the first wizard in a century who can call the goblin king as family and will be provided help by any and every goblin in his kingdom when required.

Upon hearing the announcement the Goblins only knelt and gave their consent as unlike the wizarding world where wizards were the enemies of wizards, goblins had a strict hierarchy and the word of their monarch was the law. The king then bid farewell to young harry and asked the head teller to prepare any and everything that he would need and cautioned harry to not move into the wizarding world again before he was ready to reveal himself.

Harry was inwardly happy that the king was so thoughtful and really did consider him to be a friend of the nation. After the king left, the head teller asked Harry to move to the ritual room to perform the inheritance test.
