As she smiled at me, she screeched. She thought it was funny that I asked her to be extra good. I put her in her car seat, grabbed the diaper bag, and stepped into the elevator.

Today was Gu Min leave day, so I would have to drive the Wrangler to work. I stopped by her studio to let her know that I was taking Xiao Zhi with me. As I walked through the door, she turned around and looked at me.

"Hi. My love, what's up?" she asked as she walked over and kissed me.

"I'm taking our girl to the office as I have a few things that I have to do."

"By yourself?"

"Yes, by myself. Do you think I'm not capable of spending the day with my daughter alone?"

"No. No. Yes, I think you're capable. Good luck, my handsome." She smiled as she bent down and kissed Xiao Zhi head.

I put my hand on the knob, turned it, and opened the door.

Turning around and looking at her.

"Was that good luck for me or for Xiao Zhi?" I asked in confusion.
