Chapter 5: Five : Am I An ARMY?
I closed my worksheet on my computer, and started searching about BTS on the internet. At least I have to know their faces and names first. I have enjoyed reading and watching their videos for two hours. It turned out that their career journey was not easy, there were a lot of hardships they experienced. But all paid off with their success now.
They won many awards in the music industry. They even became the first K-Pop artist who win the Top Social Artist and appear at the Bilboard Music Awards. And what makes me really proud is that they delivered a speech about "love yourself" at the UN council. I'm getting more curious about them. I did not expect, the BTS leader is very fluent in English. And the contents of the speech really touched me.
Not only expertise in singing, dancing, and writing songs, but their attitude and behavior are very good. Hmmm ... maybe these are things that make a lot of people all over the world like and adore them, including Sun Mi. No wonder, the news always calls them Global Artists, or World Class Artists. Because their class is different from other idols. In fact they are the youngest Korean citizens who have ever received "Orders Of Cultural Merit" from the Korean government. Daebaaakk!!!
Unconsciously I smiled remembering Sun Mi's behavior when she talked about BTS in front of me. I didn't know that idol groups can have this much influence..
My eyes were fixed on the profile of the BTS leader, RM a.k.a Kim Nam Joon. I was surprised that this idol had a fairly high IQ, 148. Even at school he entered into 1% of students with the highest grades in Korea. Wow ... you guessed it! No wonder he can write song lyrics that are very good and touching.
This time my eyes were fixed on Jin's profile a.k.a Kim Seok Jin. From the information I read, he is the son of a CEO of a large corporation in Korea, and also a bachelor of Konkuk University. One of the best universities in Korea.
Then there's SUGA a.k.a Min Yoon Gi. I'm a little intrigued by his name, Suga sounds a bit similar to Sugar. After I read further, because he was very pale and his smile was very sweet, so he was given the stage name Suga hehe ... well, indeed his smile was very sweet, but don't be fooled by his smile, apparently Suga is the lead rapper at BTS. He is known as one of the fastest rappers in Korea.
Then there's J-Hope a.k.a Jung Ho Seok. He is the most cheerful member, maybe because of his stage name J-hope, so he gives hope to BTS and ARMY. J-hope is the main dancer and rapper in the group. And I totally agree because J-hope dances really, really well.
Then there's Jimin a.k.a Park Ji Min. Ooohh he is so cute!. His voice is very different, therefore his voice is called 'angelic voice'. Of all the members, Jimin has the most fanboys hehe ..
Then there's V a.k.a Kim Tae Hyung. V's voice that I like the most, very deep and low. And he is also good at acting.
Then finally there is Jungkook a.k.a Jeon Jung Kook. He is the maknae (youngest). His nickname is golden maknae, because he has multi-talent abilities.
Well, after reading their profile, I'm increasingly interested and curious about BTS. It turns out they are not only physically attractive, but also very gifted in music. Their dancing and singing abilities are very good. In fact, almost all the songs they sing are the creation of their own work. Daebaakk!
Although there are 7 members, their voices and raps are very different from each other. This is what attracts and makes BTS stands out. I sighed while still watching the computer screen. I'm more excited to come to fansign tomorrow. Many things that I have read about them for two hours. It's 4 o'clock in the afternoon, I decided to finish my work and go up to the 1st floor to drink coffee and see the situation of Minerva today.
