Chapter 89: Chapter 89: Too Late (4), Yeah It's Already Too Late.
No one expected this sudden turn of events. The seemingly defenseless Shu Feng that could die at any fatal strike that his enemies can inflict him suddenly covered with a tight defense out of nowhere!
"What's happening?" The First Devil ask in confusion but no one could answer him since everyone were astonished just like him. He already pictured himself killing Shu Feng and taking the credits but this sudden turn of events caught him off guard.
Sometimes, they would doubt life. Because they didn't know whether Shu Feng can be killed by anyone since everytime that all of them thinks that he would be doomed, he would create unexpected come back with his unbelievable means!
All of them suspected that the strange occurance of the Energy Source barrier and that large scale tornado covered with the blade leaves is also another one of the tricks that Shu Feng have but what they didn't know is that even the suspect of this event is not aware of what he just did.
Although it is not his direct intention to cause this, his will to protect himself created a resonance with the surrounding which enabled him to enter the state of enlightenment and directly upgrading his Chaos Will to Level Two.
Long Zao felt the disturbance into the surroundings, it was like the Energy Source all around are trying to gather at one place like they have their own will!
This thought greatly shocked him as he looked at the direction where the Energy Source are going. He opened his mouth in shock as his eyes widened in bewilderment when he saw the tornado with blade leaves while a faint barrier could be seen covering the whole tornado up until the sky!
When he looked at the center of the tornado, he could clearly tell that a person was residing at the center silently. And this person is exactly the one he thinks that is doomed by the black smoke coming from the Devil's Crystal and could only pray for him to be able to defend himself.
He is sure that the phenomenon happening right now is cause by Shu Feng but he could clearly tell that the Energy Soure are moving on their own! It was like they wanted to protect him from the incoming danger!
Energy Source is something that is used by all living creatures even if it's human, Demon Beast or Spiritual Beast just to cultivate. It only lay itself all around the place silently and only reacted when someone used it.
Although Energy source had been used for thousands of years, no one knows the total origin of it and where does it came from. It was like it is already there the moment that the first living being opened it's eyes.
But what he is seeing right now totally diverted his knowledge! Even when he is still alive back then, he didn't hear any happenings where Energy Source move on it's own with their own will since even something like that cannot be done by the Heavens itself!
"This is.. unbelievable." Long Zao mumbled as he stared fixedly at the grand and majestic view happening right now. Soon enough, he revealed a faint smile on his face which made him look young and handsome at the same time.
Although he is already over a thousand years age, it is still considered as someone at the early twenties if compared to the natives of this world since dragons naturally have longer lifespan than any living creatures that had ever existed.
Long Zao got up from his kneeling position and his whole body didn't tremble anymore. He chuckled at himself telling him how ridiculous he is. As someone who is a previous Immortal Cultivator, he let himself got swayed by a mere item and yet someone as Shu Feng who is on the brink of death still manage to retaliate against his enemy's assault in a stunning way.
Maybe because he is already in the mind set of someone that is dead and cannot do anything to help at all that he forgot something very important.
As long as you have your means to show your strength, don't lose hope and do everything you've got until the very end.
He laugh at himself for not remembering these words that held great importance to him. As he was just a ignorant and foolish kid back then, he keep on holding in these words to persevere and reach where he is right now.
He struggled to cultivate, compete with his peers, learn from his mistakes and stand up from defeat. He never did give up until his lass ounce of strength dried up.
But when he became an Immortal Cultivator, he soon forgot the meaning of these words which made him a castle without a king.
Being at the Immortal Realm, you would rarely find anyone that could defeat you since there is not much Immortal Realm Cultivator in their world and all of them would prefer to live a secluded life instead spending their time on the outside world.
He didn't know but his previously transparent soul flickered in a split moment and returned to it's previous state as if something occured in his soul for less than just a second and disappeared without any clues afterwards.
They said that in order to achieve what you aim for, learn how to look back and embrace where you came from first. This is an act of acknowledging your flaws and make them your weapon for a better self.
He looked on at the center of the tornado and gratefully express his gratitude without telling any words and just let his expression say everything.
He would have never thought that he would relearn something from Shu Feng. It is the thing that he already lost many years ago which made him lose his purpose which drive himself to take the lead in finding the one they are looking for in hopes that again, he could find the meaning of those words.
He finally finds his purpose again but he knows that it is already too late. He is dead and his soul would soon disappear in this world and finally going to the afterlife.
'Yeah, everything is already too late.' Long Zao said to himself as a slight hint of regret flash in his eyes while gazing at the tornado or to Shu Feng to be exact.
