Awkward silence filled the dining room of Roman's posh beach house. Roman, Harry, and Benji sat on one side of the table, Roman at its head; they all looked slightly shell-shocked. Kris and Marcus sat on the other end of the table, flanking Aaron.

None of them were more uncomfortable than Aaron. She sat rigidly stiff in her chair, her back touching air rather than the cushioned back of her seat. Her hair, still damp, stuck up in every direction and clashed with the simple elegance of the long velvet dress Kris had taken from Helena's closet. The velvet draped across her body, emphasizing a surprisingly generous chest and falling in graceful folds from the leg that was thrown up in Kris's lap.
