Chapter 27: Chapter 27 Oh My Lord!

Blue's POV

I'm back at work again and it feels great to be the manager.

I do miss the interactions but this air conditioner is to die for.

Typing another bill, a call comes in and I answer quickly.

"Blueberry's Cafe, what can I help you with?"

They renamed the café to Blueberry.

Get it.

Blue.

Me.

I think you get it.

"Get ready sweetie. I coming to get you." A distorted voice says before hanging up immediately.

My first sense is to call Theodore but the last thing I want to do is bother him, so I chose to ignore it and carry on with work.

Surely they won't do anything in daylight. Right?

Wrong.

"Everybody on the ground. Now!" One of the men yells from outside and I thank the lord the Ma and Pa are out of state right now.

"We're just looking for one person. Then we're one our way."

Paper ruffles and I listen carefully from inside the office.

"Has anyone seen this woman?" One of the men yells.

"That's the manager. She's in there."
