Chapter 56: 56
(This Universe I apologize for this, I had a whole thing set but found out after on the character wiki for Young Justice a lot had changed, so it derailed my entire idea. So I decided to rush a bit to the next universe, sorry for this.)
As I teleport to the clone chambers I am running events in my mind, my best source of knowledge is what Eve learns, maybe these gods never existed, but 40 seems a bit much to all be wrong.
I see the clone inside the chamber, at the moment no signs of divinity are showing, so hopefully it kicks in as they age, oh well.
Not having much luck with the experiments these days.
Maybe I need something else to help boost the V serum, there is always the chance it's a universe thing.
Looking down at the ring on his finger Joel grinned, he never liked the idea of using a force that fluctuated, Alpha, the beginning, often seen as hope, while Omega, the end, often seen as the void.
Joel gently connected the source of the ring to these. Some say when you combine Alpha and Omega all is possible, so let's see.
Everything and Nothing, should be fun, right?
Initially, nothing happened, not that I expected anything, "Lil Lilly, install your cloned software into the ring."
"Yes, Joel. Done, it is unpacking now."
"Hello Master, I am here to aid you. Would you like to name me?"
"Sure, hm, Alpha and Omega, ah, OA will be your name from now on."
"Thank you, Master, I have my current duty set as calculating and controlling the amount of energy required from both dimensions for any task you mentally request. Is that correct?"
"Hm, add Automated protection and detection or anything that may cause changes to me or my companions," I add, just in case.
"Noted and added."
I am testing this, firstly to see if any emotion is attached to either dimension and secondly to see if a corps of my own using these rings is viable. I have added what I learned about the green and yellow rings, so it is not the same as me just pulling the power from the dimensions and using it.
I head over to the Universe portals, with the advances in understanding time, thanks to Eve still working hard we can now start a portal at an earlier point in time, but once we do we do not seem to go back further after that.
I have serious reservations about that universe though, the undead energy it emitted was like a zombie horror movie, but honestly, I had nothing else to compare the energy to.
At the moment I am still wary of trying it, when I focused on it before we took it back in time, it simply said "A dead, hungry universe."
The further we go back, the more normal it seems, but without knowing what causes the issue, I have no idea if I would be immune or not.
Although on a positive I seem to be finding more out about the Universe, it seems a Universe with many "Supers" in, I get less information, but if it has a few I get much more detailed information.
I look back and see Nat enter the lab, that woman looks like most men and women wet dream, "Hi, can I help?
She smiles warmly, "Yeah, I was kind of hoping you would impregnate me." she says in a smooth sultry voice.
"...."
"Hm?"
"…"
"Joel?"
"…"
"Nat, I think you broke him," adds Lilly
Not looks at me curiously, "Did you hear me?"
"I am sure I just heard my own wishful thinking, say it again."
"I was hoping you would impregnate me," I said
"…"
Nat chuckles lightly.
"Do I need to explain it, or did I say something wrong?" Nat asks
"Wait, so you want me to sleep with you and give you a child?"
"Well, I would prefer that way, I am not asking you to be a father, I just want a child of my own, and you seem like a perfect gene …, why is Lilly laughing?"
"Nat, how old do you think I am?"
"Well, you're a god, so a few hundred years at least?"
Lilly pipes in, "Legally he is 17 now, although will be 18 soon, so just wait a little."
"Oh, I never knew, I just thought you chose to look this way. I am so sorry." Nat blushes for the first time I have seen her.
"Urm, we are immortal, it can wait, I am so sorry." Nat leaves while Lilly is still laughing and I am hating my luck, soo close.
I sigh, I understand why she asked, and to be honest, apart from really wanting to have sex with her, I am kinda proud she asked me.
I turn and look at the portals, another one synced, Oh this looks like fun.
With a grin I appear in the new world, looking about it does not take me long to find the place's name, Freedom Harbour. Hmm, not ringing any bells, but looking at the newspaper I seem to be in a DC-type world, Robin and some kids, Teen Titans?
Well, let's see, 3 Kryptonians relatively close oh, yes, watchtower, then two down below. Let's focus on Batman, that would be the best source of information off the bat. Oh, JLA meeting in the watchtower, hm, okay, so one I am feeling, the contaminated one is Superboy. Look around and focus on all the names I know, good and bad, and get a decent idea of the world. Chaos and Order are a bit hands-on for my liking. Oh, they are both reliant on using a medium to be here, that's fun. After Lex I focus on Vandal Savage, then shake my head, idiots, they all think they playing each other, but they are all being played by Darkseid.
Hmm, let's mess with Lex's plan first.
I appear in what looks like a villain's underground lab, the only other person here is male with short black hair and blue eyes. He is noticeably taller than most people age and is quite muscular. He is considered handsome I suppose, wearing a black T-shirt with the classic S-shield in red, as well as blue jeans when in civilian attire. He seems focused on a monitor, talking to someone.
I see a compartment open on the workstation and a small storage unit pops out, I shake my head as I listen to the lollipop man on the screen blab on about how these things will help the kid, yeah, it's Lex Luthor. The screen goes black and the kid turns around, finally seeing me.
"Who are you?" he asks, this kid has anger issues, and he seems ready to lunge.
"So, you listen to a known villain and take unknown gifts from him. I am so tempted to leave you as his puppet and just let you suffer, do you not think anything through?"
"I need to find someone, I don't have time for you." Superboy states
"Match is not lost, he does not need your help. You are the one who needs help." I state plainly
"Do you know where he is? Did you take him? Tell me!"
"Wow, what did you want to answer first little Lex clone?"
This stopped him, he looked me over for the first time.
"Why am I unable to see into you? What are you?"
"You should be more concerned about what you are, and what they put inside your head." I grin
I expected more anger, but he stopped and seemed to be thinking about my words.
"You're saying the human DNA is Lex, and there is something in my head that let him control me? I was curious why I was following his lead," he says reasonably.
"Have you worked it out yet? You show him where Match is, but Match is hiding with those who do not want to be found, especially Lex. You use the shield once, then slowly become reliant on it."
He nods and sighs, I can see he is angry, but holding it back, he is a lot more mature than I thought.
"Then what do you want from me?" he asks.
"Me? To make you whole, after you crush that." I nod towards the container with the "shields" in Lex gave Superboy.
"How are you going to do that? I am not climbing back in another tube."
"Try to use heat vision." He stares at me blankly, I nod and smile. He turned his head and after a moment red beams leave his eyes and start melting the rock.
"How did you do that?" he asks in shock.
I grin and nod to the container and he crushes instantly.
"There we go, you are now a full Kryptonian. You should feel .." Yeah he started floating.
I smile and nod, "I removed all mental programming, now everything is you."
"Why? I mean Thank you, but why help me?"
"You are all my children, and sometimes children need to make their own mistakes, and sometimes they need an adult to step in."
"Now, I believe someone you know can help you find Match. Good luck." I grin and vanish
The next place I appear is far above the earth, in the Watchtower.
