"WOULD YOU FALL INTO DESPAIR, IF YOU WERE CONSUMED BY ETERNAL PAIN?"
---...---
-Warming Up-
"Y/N, wake up, we are here." You heard someone say.
"Mhmm, where are we," you mumbled with a sleepy voice.
"We're at my place," The voice continued.
"I'm already awake," You mumbled again, which made Jungkook chuckle slightly.
"Alright, I'm going to put you down now, get ready," he laughed and put you down.
You looked around and saw a house in front of you. It looked big and luxorious. Was he really this rich? You chuckled and looked at Jungkook, who was already opening the front door. "Wait for me!" You yelled and ran after him.
Jungkook opened the wooden door and yanked it open. The house looked quite old but it was big, like really big. You entered the house, and as soon as you saw all the fancy furniture inside, your jaw drobbed to the ground. You were eyeing everything from the ceiling to the ground. It was truly beautiful. Jungkook laughed behind you and smiled at your sillyness. You ignored him and continued to explore his amazing house.
"At least take your shoes off," Jungkook chuckled and approached you.
"Oh, sorry..." you blushed with embarrassment.
"It's totally fine," Jungkook smiled.
You took your shoes off and Jungkook put them on a shelf that was full of other shoes. Your shoes looked like dog shit compared to all the brand shoes next to them. You felt a little poor, not going to lie. You tore your gaze elsewhere and followed Jungkook to the living room.
He let you enter the living room first. You gasped as you saw the beautiful high-up ceiling and the breathtaking chandelier that was hanging from it. It was covered in white diamonds. The light that was coming from outside reflected from the diamonds, creating little rainbows everywhere in the room.
Two sofas were placed in the middle of the living room and a small glass table was placed nicely in front of them. A TV was hanging on the wall and on both sides of the TV was a small lamp attached to the wall. You could feel Jungkook's stare as you examined your surrounding in awe.
"Like what you see?" Jungkook smirked.
"Absolutely..." You hummed in response.
"Come on, you must be hungry," he took your hand and accompanied you to the kitchen.
"Thank you," you smiled and followed him.
Jungkook let go of your hand and went to open the fridge. You sat down in front of the table and waited patiently for Jungkook. He roamed in front of the fridge for a few moments before deciding what to cook for you.
"Alright, it's decided," he said happily and closed the fridge door.
He approached the table with a few ingredients. He placed a bowl on the table and went back to the fridge. Again, he came back with other things, such as tomato, lettuce, and other ingredients to make salad. After putting all the salad ingredients on the table, he went to the fridge and came back with a package of chicken wings.
"Is it alright if I prepare some chicken wings?" He asked with a grin on is face.
"Yeah, definitely," you smiled and watched as Jungkook jumped happily as he was preparing the chicken next to the oven.
You were smiling a lot, which was very rare for you. And that's when you stopped smiling. You remembered all the painful things in your life. Your heart jumped to you throat and you felt a lump forming in there too. Tears were about to fall from your eyes as you remembered all the horrible things about your family and friends. Your breathing got heavy and it was hard to stay calm. Memories from the past kept flowing into your mind like a waterfall and ou couldn't stop it.
A certain memory was too much for you and you were on the edge of having another panic attack.
~Flashback~
You woke up in your bed and looked around. It was 10 am, which meant that your parents had already left for work. Your brother was still living in the same house as you and your parents, despite being already 20 years old. You got up from your bed and tip toed your way downstairs to steal something from the fridge.
Of course your brother had to notice you. He grabbed your tiny body and threw it on his shoulder. He tickled you and you started to laugh uncontrollably like a maniac. He laughed with you and put you down.
"What were you trying to do, huh?" He teased you, of course knowing that you were planning to get one of those chocolate chip cookies from the fridge without being noticed. Your plan failed miserably though.
"N-nothing, I was just- I was just getting some milk from the fridge," your 8-year-old self argued back.
"Are you sure? Because to me, it looked like you had your eyes glued to those chocolate chip cookies," He laughed at you.
"I swear I wasn't planning to steal one of those delicio- disgusting cookies," you stuck out your tongue and made weird noices at your brother, making him laugh.
"Hmph, sure you weren't," your brother teased back.
Suddenly, the phone rang in the living room and your brother went to answer it. You, of course, followed him, curious who it could be at this time of the day. He answered the phone and started talking to the unknown person at the other side of the line. You heard gasps and sights and some shocked "no"s. You were starting to get really worried, since there were tears rolling down your brothers cheeks and he was breathing really heavily.
You grabbed your brothers shirt and hugged him. He pushed you away unconsciously and it made you fall on the ground. Your brother looked at you with an apologetic expression and continued his call.
He ended the call and as soon as he put the phone down, he collapsed on the ground, knees hitting his chest as he was crying like a crybaby. After a few moments of trying to calm down, he finally looked at you and opened his mouth. What he said afterwards, shook you to your core.
"They're dead... mom and dad... they're dead..." he cried and hugged you tighty.
Your eyes widened in shock and you could feel tear rolling down your cheeks immediately. The sentence your brother had just said was ringing in your ears constantly, making the condition you were in even worse. That was the first time you had a panic attack. They didn't end there. They continued to haunt your life again and again and again.
After a while, the both of you calmed down a bit and released from the hug, slowly. Your brother looked at you and you looked at him. It felt like he was lying, but seeing his condition, he definitely wasn't. It felt like a dream.
Like a nightmare.
A few weeks went by. You and your brother had stopped talking to each other and your brother even thought of moving away from home. You had no idea why he would just leave you, because you were only 8 years old.
Every day, he would ignore you. You only saw him when you ate together, even though that had became rare too. He would cook for you, but he never ate with you. You grew away from each other, slowly and painfully. The bottomless pain you were feeling was getting worse by every day, and your brother's absence wasn't helping at all.
In the end he left you, but not in a good way.
He took his own life by jumping from a bridge.
He left you completely.
That was the start of your Bottomless Pain.
