Chapter 148: 'That Person'

Emily arrived home after going grocery shopping. She wanted to prepare some homemade food for herself. She placed the grocery on the kitchen cabinet and reached to take a bottle of water from the fridge when her phone started buzzing.

Looking at it, she smiled and answered cheerfully, ''hello, Roex, you called mommy?''

''Mummy'' the small boy said before the phone was taken away and Emily's husband spoke.

Lawson: Listen to me Emily. If you want your son to be safe, then tell Mike to stay away from us. He came here this morning and threatened me''

''Lawson, Lawson. GOD!'' Emily's hands quivered as she tried to send a message to Lorenzo.

Seyram walked towards the CEO's office with her head downcast. She looked defeated as she took slow steps until she bumped into Alex.

''Gracious God, where is your mind, Nana?'' Alex said and she looked up. Her face brightened when she saw him.

''Alex, you are back?'' she asked, looking around.
